It's pretty much testing its audience to judge a book by its cover. We knew nothing about him and yet we judged him. It's almost like something we do everyday.

After that he was sent abroad by his father for a 6 months trip, and he went not knowing she was pregnant. The trip ended up taking 3 years. Since she got pregnant she lost all her value, and since he wasn’t there to buy her out she had to sell her body to make a living. Because of that she got an STD, and thinking Lakan had abandoned her she cut her finger and Maomaoks finger to curse him. The truth is he didn’t abandon her, he didn’t know she got pregnant and thought he would be back in 6 months. They loved each other, but they were extremely unlucky with the timing of his mandatory trip abroad, very tragic. He is not a creep at all, sure, he is weird, but he’s not a bad person at all. The show completely gaslighted us into thinking he’s the villain, only to pull a complete 180 in this episode and make us feel like crap for hating him lol.
