2024-08-25 16:43:10 +0000 UTCYuri dropped out of high school to pursue idol life actually. She's the same age as Minju (born 2001) so she should have been in school too. But her family is (or was) poor and so for many reasons, she decided to work towards being a singer and earn for the family and left Busan in 2016-2017 . She was actually quite a good pianist when she was young and mentioned that she'd have continued training for a career, but her mother couldn't afford it. It wasn't ever revealed or talked about, but it's believed that her parents were divorced so her mother had to raise her & her younger sister alone. Her father passed late last year, and she only briefly mentioned it in a radio that she was in the midst of comeback preparations when it happened.
