Fish Speaker Body Armor Design

FORGOT: The chest plates are Ottoman kinda thing, there is a famous museum armor piece that Alp showed me.

There is a story! My subscriber and friend Alp is a young Historian and a fellow Dune-er. From him I learned that plated armor was scarce among medieval Arabs because of iron shortage and also saved some cool reference illustrations. The man also brought my attention to how the medieval element of the books is often lost in adaptation (I do love them ww1 jackets and Herbman does use the exact word 'jacket' when talking about uniforms when he doesn't say robe this and robe that HOWEVER!). So now I am facing a challenge of animating detailed chainmail which probably will be a 3D element on a 2D character... But once I painted it onto my Fish Speaker sketch there was no turning back!

If you seen my YT community posts or follow my instagram (all_inall) I obtained the holy book that is Shin Kamen Rider Design Works and it inspired me to approach my designs with more care.

A fellow Patron Archeota aka Bad Ideas Fairy who helped me layout Fish Speaker units strategy for the Ixian Embassy scene was kind enough to look at my sketches and provide suggestions based on his experience in service. Second slide is the initial design I sent the man.

I love trying to force some cool looking weird or sexy concept into practical use or try and limit my ideas with elements of reality. It probably has something to do with the well known 'limitations help creativity' thing. It becomes like a game where you have to play against reality.

A lot of this detalization will only be in a spotlight in one close-up kinda scene. For the Embassy action I want to do a more shading-less simpler forms 'as seen from afar' version of Fish Speaker armor BUT with shimmering clearly chainmaily chainmail not dingle-dangling too much but being a little physical.

Basically cosplaying an AllINAll Design Works book release!
