After all, how could a half arachnid-half human creature work? The parts are so different. It had to be a myth. No one had lived on the peninsula for generations. Kirklan decided to head in and stake a claim, heedless of the dire warnings of the old folk. He was never seen again ... and none can say whether he perished in an accident or not.
