A Public Defender is a free lawyer provided by the government and a litigator is a lawyer. Opens the door to the many great court movies.🤔

Runny fried eggs with the black pudding otherwise it’s utter nonsense! 👍🏻

White gravy looks gross, but is so good. I've never had black pudding, but I'll give it a try.

Just looked it up. I want that!
I’ll trade white gravy for black pudding. Culture exchange 👍🏻

Goodfellas and Casino are going to be quite a curveball after Pesci was reasonably nice in this!
As long as they watch The Untouchables I’m fine.
(I will mention The Untouchables in every single comment now until they do it 😂)

Decent info on grits, ta!
Being from east London, I reckon I would have approached that breakfast in much the same way as Joe Pesci there! 😂
Eggs looked alright though 👍🏻

Boiled peanuts are extremely common at gas stations all over the southern states. Very salty and takes several hours to boil. When I make boil peanuts I use a pressure cooker so it's done within an hour. They are very good.

I was surprised that you chose this movie. But I'm delighted that you enjoyed it. This was an old movie even when I was a kid. It illustrates some of the cultural differences within the US, which was the basis for many of the jokes.
I think Joe Pesci is an underappreciated actor, who didn't get the same recognition as Robert Deniro or Al Pacino. I also recommend Casino and Goodfellas, but those movies are a bit more violent.

I love this movie so much, Marisa Tomei explaining why the tire tracks were from a different car is somehow incredibly compelling, even though you're not expected to understand all the jargon and technical terms you still basically understand what she means, combination of a great script and a great performance, director Jonathan Lynn has a law degree and insisted the film's legal proceedings be realistic, so this film is seen as one of the most accurate film portrayals of the practice of law, for example Liar, Liar is a very inaccurate portrayal of the law, but that movie isn't going for accuracy so it doesn't matter, both films are good.
Jonathan Lynn also directed a great mystery comedy called Clue (1985), which would make for a great reaction, he also directed The Whole Nine Yards (2000), a comedy movie starring Bruce Willis and the late Matthew Perry that I have always had a soft spot for, I recommend them both.
Joe Pesci is a legend and most known for his role in Goodfellas (1990), Marisa Tomei is an eternal beauty and talent, she's very good in The Wrestler (2008).
Also us patreon folks won't tell the youtube folks about that failed high five, that'll be our little secret lol.

Ralph Macchio who plays Billy got famous in a movie called the Karate Kid. Netflix recently made a series based in the world of Karate Kid, called Cobra Kai. Both Karate Kid, and Cobra Kai are worth watching.
Did you recognize Cousin Vinny from any other movies? He was one of the Wet Bandits in Home Alone, but he also has a major role in Good Fellas, a movie you should definitely watch.
Marisa Tomei, who plays Mona Lisa Vito, the super hot car expert, won an academy award for her work in this film. She's been in some great movies, like The Wrestler, and also plays in the current version of Spiderman.
If you like this film, I think you would like LEGALLY BLONDE, a similar legal comedy.
I'm from the deep south, so I have a lot of experience eating grits. Grits are just ground corn. It's cheap food, so if you're poor, grits cooked in water can keep you alive, but if you cook them in cream or butter, they can be really good. A typical southern breakfast might be eggs, biscuits, bacon with a side of grits. You won't be skinny if you eat this.

Man that was really fun, had heard a lot about this film and so glad I finally got to watch it. Joe Pesci's energy is unmatchable and Marisa Tomei was so great (and has aged like a fine wine).
I hope you're doing the thing of checking out actors/directors filmography because Joe Pesci is one of a kind in my top three/five favorite films of all time "Goodfellas". Then of course there's its amazing companion piece "Casino" and the much more recent, very loong but enjoyable "The Irishman". All three are absolutely star-studded and directed by the legendary Martin Scorsese.

One of the best and most accurate courtroom dramas ever made! Joe Pesci at his best, and of course Marissa's performance won her an Oscar for this movie! Other court films I'd recommend are A TIME TO A KILL (Samuel L. Jackson and Matthew McConaughey); A FEW GOOD MEN (Jack Nicholson and Tom Cruise); TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD; and since it's near Christmas, A MIRACLE ON 34th STREET (original or 90s remake, both are excellent)
