Despite not having inner monologue with Yamada, the anime does a great job with character animation via body language to get across exactly how she feels. and having Ichikawa be so f-ing weird but open up as quickly as he is make me fun to follow. he basically is what happens when extreme socially awkward people get into a relationship or slowly get into one, they become sane and normal lmao
