My best guess as to why Alicia gets focused on so much is that in both the book and manga she doesn't really. There are parts with her, but till almost the end of volume 1 she is barely shown. I forget how the book opens with her regaining her memories and focuses more on her childhood about how her maids were scared of her because of her black hair and such, it really is a better opening.
