Their intelligence services must suck because not only would you want to poach her, but you might want to try to make her favorable to your country just in case you ever had to fight her. Since she's played the game I bet she will know something about this guy already. Given what happened with the spy over on Tsukimichi, I bet this guy is a disguised demon, since we know there is a demon lord.
