While I can understand leaving out the extra carnage, I wouldn't have minded the extra scenes. Honestly, the more powerful emotions a show can evoke the more easily it is remembered. Plus, at this point I've seen and read so much fictional pain that losing your family and a close friend has almost become a main character baseline, and more emotions are what makes those moments in different novels, manga, and animes stand out.

2024-04-13 21:08:52 +0000 UTCI'm kind of glad they turned down the savageness of the wolf monster here. In the manga it actually mutilated the corpses and cut Linlin in half. Reading that part was considerably disturbing. (They also showed more scenes with the parents and her, giving us a bigger chance to build an emotional connection, so that it'd hurt more.)
