Project Update

So the crafting stage is almost done (B roll, talking head, VO and editing/uploading yet to do) and I thought I'd drop in a little preview/update!
I went through a ton of iterations for this build, from LEDS to blending paint colours, but finally settled on the method you see here - it's vibrant as hell and gives a great glowing effect, but with no LED fiddling (which I'm not a huge fan of, if there's an alternative!)
No airbrush required, though I use one for speed/more accuracy, and the finished piece can be split up to be used in dungeons along walls as well as outdoors as a freestanding piece (as people in the livestream have already seen...)
I'll be uploading a ton of templates, including exclusive patreon variants for different factions, so you can make this tower suit the efreet on the plane of fire or the drow in the underdark - the coloured accessories are all removable.

Honestly, I love doing that stuff but it is SO time consuming and tiring it's unreal! It's like building 4-8 or more sessions of big d&d scenarios in one day while ducking under lights and avoiding tripping over cameras/wires/tons more boxes than you would ever use at once in d&d... In a tiny room 😄 I think photography is one of the most physically demanding days, and those shots are the primary reason... I still love the results and try to do as much as I can though :) Hopefully in future I can afford a new photography area with a higher desk so I'm bending over less 😅
