Bonus Video: Updated Magnetic Stone Floors and Interior Walls!

Hi Guys,

Bonus video complete! (update ramble at the bottom) The much awaited interior walls video is ready to go, and includes an awesome new material courtesy of one of you guys, Matt! (not me 😅)

This new material is a fantastic replacement for some other ones we use and gives us some amazing options going forwards :)

If you're new here, I hope you enjoy your first bonus video!

I do need to keep YouTube videos rolling so the algorithm doesn't do bad things to the channel when I'm not looking, so they aren't released as often as the main channel videos - though I do get one released regularly and you have access to every bonus video as long as you're a patron :)

Let me know what you guys think of the video, and enjoy.

Update ramble!

So! I got most of the editing done yesterday, but I wasn't able to get talking head recorded in time. So I dashed to it early this morning...only to end up recording with a dead battery mic the first time, a not-plugged-in mic the second, and finally getting it right the third time 😅 So that took a bit longer than I wanted...

The good news, is that the soundproof curtains seem to be doing their job, and reducing the moderate traffic noise just enough to not pick up in my recording! Buses, power tools and my neighbour's dog are still the bane of my life, but C'est la vie...

Other good news, I got the video complete with some hours to spare, so I've started work on the next project... should be fun 😁

In the video you mention the new magnetic doors. Where is the video on it? Also I appreciate all the work you’re putting into this.

Hey Matt I've created (in as I didn't look it up, might not be a new idea) a technique that helps with polarity, speed, and flush mounting magnets. Nickel stripping! Mount a row of magnets on an existing tile (like you mentioned in a video about doing all jorths first). Then get a 2ish inch strip of nickel. Slap it on the top/back of your magnet row. Use fingernail to peel off. It's a metal version of your cocktail stick/blue tack in a single piece. Rotate, repeat. Double prep. Fill a magnet hole with hot glue, press one of the magnets in to the glue and make the nickel flush. The metal helps dissipate the heat, so go ahead and press to make flush. Wait a second, twist off strip. Flush mounted magnet with glass smooth hot glue surrounding and a second magnet already ready. Thought I'd pass it along!
