Magnetic Walls are getting upgrades...

First peek here at some experimenting I've managed to cram in around the day job flood when I came back - Half length doors and walls!
Basically, when combined with full length walls with a door in the middle, these should allow you to place a door...just about anywhere :)
And not only that, but give a lot of creative freedom with room shape using the half length walls...
More on this soon, but Matt (not me, patron Matt!) linked a brilliant idea on Facebook and discord (join us on both if you haven't already!), suggesting using nickel strips. Amazing idea, and it works really well - so much so I've updated my designs for this build using them! Providing all experiments bear out without problems, we've got an amazing new material for making this kind of stuff with, so well done Matt, you deserve all the credit for that one :)
I'll get you guys another update soon, once I have more to show :)

No changes to the existing outer walls - these are interior ones, so they have two underneath and none on top :)

2021-09-02 13:32:02 +0000 UTCI’m excited to see this video. And scared… I just started making walls and fought my way thru gluing magnets into my first dozen walls. Is the placement of the magnets changing?? My walls have the one magnet per side placement…

2021-09-02 13:27:32 +0000 UTCStrange, it says you joined the server? On the server at least 😅 Yep, connected to the floor, and the interior walls still have side magnets so they connect to each other/the faces of the walls too :) Corners will be columns, much like the exterior, but with a twist!

And how are the walls in the inside corners connected? I have my blanks ready to go for the smaller brick walls! Need some more though if I'm to make the interior walls too. :) Speaking of the Discord server, I'm having trouble connecting. Followed the guide and the troubleshooting guide but can't see any new server in Discord...
