Photography, more lighting and new villagers!

Hi Guys!

Took me a while to get a worthy shot for an update this week, ramble below!

The preview images you can see show off some nice extra details I added in the form of some autumnal leaves in the gutters, using a new product I show in the video.

They also show the new villagers (and some old ones) I painted up from this month's sponsor (I got a sponsor! go me! 😁) because the city streets were feeling a bit...deserted!

Finally you can see the lighting you get from 3 streetlamps spaced as evenly as intended in the build, with the lighting in the image adjusted to roughly match the light level on the terrain and minis you get in real life :) just imagine them flickering for now 😄

As I've said, the streetlights are magnetised and removable for easy storage, and the  magnetised tiles can be used for other things like signposts, gibbets and more! a little info on magnetic upgrades for signposts and such is there too. I tried to not magnetise them, I did. But it's just so much easier 😂



Right, ramble time!

First off, the sponsorship. This may or may not be something I seek for future videos in the long run, I have a couple of options here and I haven't yet landed on one.

In the short term, I'll be doing them simply to top up patreon and pay my bills, because the channel isn't quite there yet, and this helps bridge the gap in the meantime.

In the longer term, once that gap is bridged I may change what I do with them or drop them entirely - it very much depends on how certain things play out! 

I'll keep you guys posted, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on sponsors in general! Do you mind them?

Ok, that aside! Took me a little while to get an update out this week as I had to get some day job work done, the last of the recording done, and those minis painted, and until all were done...I didn't really have much to show for it, apart from content for the actual video! I think it was worth the short wait though, I love those photos 😁

Tomorrow will be more photography, Friday MIGHT be finishing up photography so I can get the best shots, but will definitely be VO and Talking Head time... and from there on to editing!
