Can you tell I've been experimenting?

Hi guys!

So, I've spent the last few days experimenting to find cheap alternatives/support materials for resin for those who find it too costly. This has met with...mixed success - but luckily may not actually be necessary!

Late on today, I had a big chat with a bunch of you guys in Discord, where we managed to find that resin isn't as expensive in the US as I presumed ($90+tax/delivery for 1 gallon/4L), and can be bought for a very similar price to that in the UK/Europe (£50 w/free delivery for 4.5L) - IF you know where to look...

With that in mind, the video will instead include a section on where to find resin at a reasonable price, and ideally, a link in the equipment list that I can keep updated with help from patrons to be a good, cheap resin option for people ongoing, with at least one link for the UK, EU and USA, and more if we can source them :)

Hopefully that will be a valuable community resource that you guys can help with and we can all, even non patrons, benefit from :)

Also, you guys might be able to get a better idea of what the next video will be from this photo. Hint - its not sewers....

Not this time anyway 😂

the main tile size (one of them) is the grey one you can see, and the water will only go 2/3 of the way across - so the actual depth is 3/4" at its deepest, but much of it is more shallow, giving an average depth of...1/2" :) the canal-type ones in the background were testers, not what things will look like :)

So can a similar effect be achieved with shallower water? How different does 1/2 inch depth look vs …. what is that, 2” depth? Those tiles must be awfully heavy!

Not sewers? Canals! 😬
