Finishing the bulk, new magnetic attachements, and stabbing myself (with a thorn!)

Hi Guys!

I had a second between jobs with a clear desk so I thought I'd take the opportunity to give you all an update :)

I've now finished the bulk of the tiles that I can before recording the rest (I do this to keep the recording area more tidy and less insanity generating 😄), so next week I'll be getting properly started on clips for the video (I'm gonna do the resin all at once, because messy 😁)

As you can see in the image I've added some new magnetic attachments to the tiles. They're kind of a spin off of the street sign/lamppost/tree method, and one I HAD intended to save for the forest video, but as one of you pointed out on the island preview, they'd work very well here!

As you can see you can magnetically attach tufts, bushes, deadwood and all sorts just by magnetising, making it modular for use in caves and grim places while allowing for greenery elsewhere. These tufts can also be used on upgraded magnetic stone walls to show ruined areas much like the cocktail stick versions I showed in the past :)

Finally, I got a little slowed as I managed to stab myself badly in the thumb with a dead bramble while collecting dirt. APPARENTLY its a good idea to get checked after that sort of thing because it can give nasty infections, so I took a quick detour to the local health centre. Made up some time on the evening, but lesson learned, even when digging dirt - wear gardening gloves! 😬

Right! Back to it. I've got a lot of tidying to do... 😂

Oh I know ;) it's actually something I'll be showing! 😁

Just an idea for the flocked magnets, you could get more flocking surface area by glueing some tin as a base. The tin would still be magnetisable. It looks amazing, really looking forward to the video!

Not so much here :) not enough snow! 😁

For future dirt collection, I dont know if its the same over there but here in canada, right after winter we have a ton of super fine sand alongside the roads from when it was washed through with the snow and water.
