Almost there! Update and another preview :)

Hi guys!

This is the second last preview I have, and one of my favourite ideas to put together for the video - The Throne Hall of the Pit Fiend!

The idea with this one is it represents the end of a corridor, and there are walls on 3 sides (2 shown) where ranged attackers like Barbed Devils can make nuisances of themselves, either standing on ledges or hanging on to the rocky walls magnetically, over the deadly lava...

Well...deadly to the players anyway 😁

Speaking of lava being deadly, I've been working on some homebrew lava rules to line up with this release. I had these mostly put together for myself anyway but I've been polishing them and thought I'd release a playtest version to you guys early so you can let me know what you think - I'll also be posting this on discord :)

The idea with these rules is to make lava more than just impassable terrain (or hot water, as 5E suggests you can wade through it...) - obviously tinted a little on the realism side and can be toned down damage wise as desired for high powered, high magic campaigns :) I'm trying to make the stuff an encounter in its own right...

Warning: it's pretty brutal 😂 but still softer than is realistic!

In terms of the video itself, I've got it almost complete - just the last 1/3 or so of the colour correction to do, slap on the audio correction and get my trusty reviewer (Faye!) to check I haven't messed up anywhere 😄

I do need to send the sponsor clip off to the sponsor before I can upload it for you guys (and then get all the uploading nonsense done while you guys enjoy it!), just so I can get it approved :)

And I think that's about it for now! I'm just going to wrap up some things and call it good - any day where I manage to get to 5pm is good these days 😅 Getting there!
