Empires

Empires was a setting I developed in... actually probably started back in middle school. I largely dropped it even before I started Housepets, despite musing on bringing it back in one form or another, the most likely idea being to turn it into a TTRPG. But that'd require me to actually want to GM a game and have a system that is compatible with my vision for it--oh look I'm playing in a game of Pathfinder 2nd Edition and am extremely invested in trying it out for myself now. Might even be able to start within a month >.>

I'm warned that the thing I should not do when planning a TTRPG is over-prepare. This isn't overpreparing! I ONLY drew a reference for each of the setting ancestries, created conversion tables from Pathfinder ancestries with additions and alterations, converted those into Foundry (learning Foundry's language), wrote a few extensive design documents, bought, learned and designed several maps in Wonderdraft okay I might be overpreparing

YES this setting is where the danroo came from.

EDIT: that was the wrong version of that map

I don't know why, but maps done on hex grids always makes me want to explore an area and learn everything there is to know about it - and maybe even discover things nobody else has found yet.

And are The Gate Islands so named because they're the only remaining barrier on that side, or because they've been settled to prevent oceangoing travelers from going somewhere they shouldn't?

Uh.... what happened in the lost city of Muria that turned a significant perfect circle around it into an ocean?
