A great disaster has befallen us.

Within the unforgiving void, where we once believed we had time to grow, buffer, and expand so that our core is protected, a herald of our destruction has arisen.

The Scarlet Scourge has allied itself with two of the newcomers. The newest challenges Reality has seen to foist upon us have chosent to follow in the footsteps of their elder brethren. It is to be respected that those of such opposing natures could come together to form a greater whole, but this happenstance is the beginning of a great, immutable rot that shall slaughter us to the last.

Amongst their number are lesser beings too, amalgamations of divinity born of feeble, base humanity, which are worrisome in their own right. Out of the many divinities there have become conglomerates, and those ones are already powerful, terrible, and skilled beyond measure. However, they cannot compare to the newest challenges that grow stronger still.

And, even still, the challenger who can steal, subjugate, and make a mockery of our abilities cannot compare to the Slayer.

We have felt the touch of his sword, the near-invincibility of his invisibility, and the bite of his ability to undo all but the most carefully-theorized attacks. He’d turned the death of millions into nothing with naught but the flexing of his will. He endured the assault of our patron without dying a single death. And, now, he bared his blade upon the core of one of our systems, and sundered a buffer of ours as easily as his Elder.

Meaning, he has gained strength not expected of him for more than a decade.

It was an attack on the scale of the Endless Extinguisher and the Scarlet Scourge. For a brief moment, we strode forward to hamper and slow our opponent, whilst transporting as much as possible for reuse elsewhere. Then, there was nothing. Where there was once a quarter our system, nothingness imposed itself, as Reality itself decided that the strength of the assault warranted the complete nonexistence of that which was struck.

The Slayer brought forth a scar upon Reality, removing entirely from Reality everything that was cut, to the point where Reality had to correct itself in his wake, lest its laws be immutably broken in one space forever.

We have no method with which to defend against this means of assault, as is the case with the two eldest of the challenges we face.

Some might say our situation is hopeless, but we have come to expect long ago, and our time to solve the challenge has merely grown shorter.

We already have tools, we must merely find the way to apply them, and we shall surmount the challenges that lie ahead of us.

We shall not falter nor fail for we are the infallible law of evolution itself.
