Status report

Hi there!

This week has been quite busy, so I couldn't dedicate much time on developing... The weekend, however, will be very productive!

So the plan for now is to release a 0.2.4 version with all the reported bugs fixed and the missing placeholders, I only have one placeholder left to fill, and a couple of extra scenes that I wanted to add, and that will be all for the slave path.

I expect to have this 0.2.4 released this weekend, and I'll make it public after confirming that everything works correctly.

I know patrons are supposed to get the early access to new builds, but this release will be more like a hotfix than a new build, since there will only be a few more scenes and bug corrections.

Once I've confirmed that 0.2.4 has no bugs, I'll start working on the next checkpoint of the runaway path, the "First enemy boss" or "Dom". But I might add a tiny little bit of content to the slave path.

Once the 0.3 is finished, there will be a poll to determine on which route should I focus next, as you'll have enough amount of content to judge the kind of gameplay that you can expect form each route.

When I get back to working on the Slave path, the next step will be to fill up the class roster, leaving 8 modeled characters (students) with their own scenes, an two or three teachers. Right now I only have one model ready to join the roster (PM me if you want spoilers), so if you have any suggestion of any kind of character that could fit the role, you know how to reach me! I do listen to everyone, not only Patrons ;)

On the other hand, I also want to speak about this monthly release commitment that I have auto-imposed.

As it turns out, in this couple of months I've been learning from scratch how RPG Maker MV works, and during this journey I've discovered (and still discovering!) plugins, workarounds, and plenty of interesting stuff that would have made my life a lot easier on the early stages of the game. I've also done many MANY rookie mistakes, but that's the old fashioned way to learn!

So, the main reason of this commitment is basically to give my supporters transparency on what I'm currently working on, to have your feedback, and to avoid leaving the players a feeling of an "Abandoned project".

I know I've made my time availability crystal clear to everyone, so I know you won't expect a super-fast development for now.

My commitment stands firm, but I would like to add a couple of points:

There will be at least one release per month, but I'll keep the right of considering Hotfixes and minor updates as a release, like the one that I'll (probably) release this weekend.

Also, a monthly release doesn't mean there can't be more than 30 days between each release, it means that each month will have at least one release, meaning that, considering the previous point, the next build 0.3 can be released by the end of April.

As I said, all I want is to give you transparency (without spoilers!), but I don't really like to deliver unfinished builds with placeholders, bugs and stuff like that (although I understand that there is no way of finding bugs without extensive testing), so I think this two points can help me keep a healthy status of this project.

Thank you very much for your support and your interest on this game! It really fills me with joy and motivation knowing that there are people out there enjoying it! ^^

Back to work!
