"The Were-Lizard" Monster of the Month for August 2019
Added 2019-08-20 00:29:18 +0000 UTCHey guys! Here is the Were-Lizard! (Or, if you are a fan of the Venture Brothers, the Were-odile!) I had a lot of fun working on him. He had a lot of interesting scale textures to work with and those presented a lot of fun challenges for detailing. I actually finished him in 5 hours.... but then wasn't quite happy with it and went back for another hour and a half of extra lighting and detail to finish it. So he came in at 6 and a half total. Ahhhh I'm glad I did it, but he was almost my second 5 hour monster!!
I'm still working on the brush set and the animatic rewards for the month. Those should be coming up soon. Also, I kept a lot of progress shots for his development and I got a lot of really interesting reference on scales, so he will likely be the subject of either this month's, or next month's tutorial.
