Welcome to #LETSDRAWMONSTERS creature design challenge for May 2020! This month is #MerMay, but instead of a lovely mermaid for our creature, we wanted to do something a bit more interesting: The Mythical, the Majestic Mer-mule!

The mer-mule was the more practical workhorse for all legendary sea gods. Not as showy as the high-maintenance hippocampus, and not as pretentious and ill-mannered as the sea-goats. Yet, it was left out of most ancient chronicles. The Mermule was in fact, one of the primary means of ancient sea transportation and trade and was known to be a noble, sturdy, albeit stubborn, companion.

For today's CREATURE DESIGN CHALLENGE I will be drawing Triton's own Mermule and giving him his long-deserved moment in the sun.

On the livestream we will be doing life studies, crafting thumbnail concept sketches, and attempting to finish a final drawing for the Mer-mule in just 3 hours. As with our last community creature design event, there will be PRIZES at the end of the stream for:
