this is a xenobiology patreon now. nah there's just been a lot of interest in the biology of lindon's species on twitter, so i thought i'd expand on it a bit, because he's actually not a very typical example of it!

the urodelian planet is tidally locked, meaning one side of the planet is always day, the other is always night. between them is a habitable belt where the temperatures average out into something livable. the majority of fresh water here is found in rivers, lakes, and importantly: in massive underground cave systems. this is where lindon's race of urodelian developed, but there are a wide variety of surface dwelling urodelians with hugely different physiology from him. they're adapted to the lush, humid rainforests found around the habitable belt. they come in a lot of different colors and bodyforms, much like humans do, but are generally stockier compared to their underground cousins, who are comparatively elfen.
