Ancora Bay 04 - Profligate Cemetery and the Splintered

This place is haunted. Or... if it isn't, it's about to be.

You've finally made it out of the sinking slums! And now you're in... well, you're in the graveyard, and it's a whole mess of a political debacle. Defile a halfling burial ground to build more homes? Fill the bluffs with rich folks' tombs? Or maybe just leave it alone? Either way, someone is going to be pissed! Pirates and necromancers call the cemetery home, so you're bound to meet some colorful characters either way.

The Borough Guide

Ancora Bay's "Profligate Cemetery" occupies a nontrivial percentage of the bay's habitable land. What to do with the real estate remains an open question. Goblin necromancer Gikgok certainly digs the vibes, as do the pirates who maintain a secret base beneath the graveyard. If your players want to join the pirates, that's certainly an option, though the adventurers will have to prove themselves first.

Maps

The cemetery sits above most of the rest of the coastline. Atop this rocky bluff, you'll find scores of halfling tombstones as well as a handful of larger mausoleums for Ancora Bay's elite. Most strikingly, there are still some shanty buildings that extend out from the slums to the west. At the north end of the bluffs, you'll find Juliet Spencer's Mausoleum, a (perhaps irresponsibly) large tomb for a once-fashionable capitalist. When the bay floods, the mausoleum is just about all that remains above the surface.

Music

This week, we bring you Borough Bound's first batch of minis! These bite-sized tunes are perfect to help flesh out the range of vibes and emotions you'll want to evoke in the cemetery. Each track is a minute long, and provided in both a looping and a 10 minute "extended" version. Chief Couriers get seven (!) tracks to choose from, while General Messengers get four. Each of these highlights a specific aspect of life in the cemetery: from the mysterious but goofy "Gikgok," to the crunchy and spirited "Splintered Hollow," or the calm and jovial "Ploqwat."

The Jewel of Al Ibra - Collaboration with Limithron
