From glitz and glam to the shanty town next door. The Sinking Slums are the dingiest part of Ancora Bay, a ramshackle neighborhood that gets devastated by repeated floods. Here you'll find the downtrodden as well as those dead set on taking advantage of them. Grab some galoshes, because you're going to get wet.

The Borough Guide

As you slink into the slums, you'll come face-to-face with the realities of corporate excess and devastating climate change. Strange and ancient magic may be playing a role here, but that doesn't change the day-to-day reality of everyday citizens. Learn all about the Gatherers and their enigmatic leader, and try to survive as their elite commandos come for you.

The Sinking Slums are not "pleasant, per se, but they are some of the most visually stunning quarters in the city. The mossy, overgrown streets, the ramshackle tavern, and the partially submerged abodes sitting in the bay are a stunning reminder of what may become of the rest of the city in due time. A funicular is ready to take you up to the Pink Quarter, but more likely, you'll end up just begging for meals at the Gatherer branch. 

Music 

It's about time that you all got some bona fide combat tunes, eh? Here's "Pyroclast Blitz," a frantic and idiosyncratic battle track to help score your encounters with the spiteful and distinct kill squads in the Slums. This isn't "epic world-ending boss battle"; it's scrappy and hectic, just like your foes. If you find the instrumentation a bit distracting for drawn-out combat encounters, throw on the "(Bass and Percussion)" variant for intense but focused play.
