Happy Halloween, and welcome to the final release of Brimspur! Today, we wrap up the map, the borough guide, and the EP for this hellish crossroads. With this release, you should have everything you need to run Brimspur adventures. Let's take a look at what's in Brimspur 03!

Borough Guide

This guide is all about the Hellcrossing Carnival, the rinky-dink circus that has inexplicably captured the black hearts of all fiends across infernal domains. Led by ambiguously nefarious Malakrim Salt, the Hellcrossing Carnival is the perfect excuse for the stupidest of hellish hijinks. This document also provides guidance about how best to run minigames or in-universe performances.

Maps

The helter skelter, the big top, the vendor and game stalls... what's not to love? This map is dedicated entirely the carnival. Run silly circus adventures, or just fight demons atop the spiral slide. It's your call! As with our other Brimspur maps have a slew of variants: massacre (aka "bloody"), misty, desert, desert massacre, sandstorm, forest, winter, Shadowfell, void, and Styx. Also, we figure a lot of you running Brimspur as a traditional Western town won't feel like whipping out a dang carnival in the rugged frontier, so we've provided one extra variant this week: Desert No Carnival.

We've got two decent-sized interiors for this release. Firstly, we have the helter skelter. It's not much, but it's enough to run frantic scrambles up the spiral staircase as you chase some demon lord in one or more stupid combat encounters. Next, we have the big top interior! We've actually done a couple different versions of this map in case you don't want the acrobatics props. NOTE: This content bundle is yet again huge, so we had to include the interior maps as a separate download.

Music

Come on, it's spooky circus music! Of course it's spooky circus music! "Salt and Sideshows" is a mixture of creepy carnival organ mixed with hellish ambience, aggressive drums, and moody cello. It's spooky! Of course! Did you really think we were going to blow it on this one?

If you want circus music of a slightly different creepy variety, we have "The Hellcrossing Carnival," a brand new arrangement of one of Will's previous creepy carnival tracks. It turns out that when you write RPG music for a living, sometimes you end up retreading incredibly specific ground.
