Greetings all, and welcome back to Hauthell! The scene from the preview image might look rather familiar; this is (in fact!) the same stretch of land we illustrated in Hauthell 01, though six years have done much to reshape the quaint hamlet. Part two of our Hauthell setting progresses the story, alters the map, and introduces new narrative wrinkles into the quintessential starter town. Let's take a look!
Our borough guide reveals the source of much of the change in Hauthell: a new thoroughfare passes near the hamlet, bringing countless visitors to the town. An inn and a stage station accomodate these out-of-towners. Meanwhile, birth, death, marriage, triumph, and catastrophe have all reshaped the lives of the Hauthrets and Ellbunds. Hauthell may still be quaint, but it is not the hamlet it once was!

For the first time in Borough Bound history, we are re-examining an existing map for our part 2 here! You'll notice a slew of changes: the Gathering Hall has expanded into an inn, farm plots have grown, a new stage station accomodates carriage drivers, and the Ellbund family's home has burned to the ground. Countless smaller deviations pepper the map as well. Can you spot them all?
If you want to tweak this to fit your campaign, we provide 3 seasonal variants (Spring, Autumn, and Winter), 2 weather-specific variants (Rainy and Misty), plus 2 regional variants (Tropical and Lakeside).

We've updated the previously available interiors plus added some new ones! Fully explore the Hauthell Inn, check in on Gunnar in the stage station, or tend to animals in the expanded barn. Our goal is to continue adding interiors until the full map of a future Hauthell is exhaustively decked out. As always, these interiors are only available to patrons at the Chief Courier tier or higher.
"Off the Thoroughfare" is more pleasant countryside music! Guitar and harps noodle out a simple tune, though there's evidence of increased change and complexity in the world of Hauthell. This is a great track to press play on as soon as your players enter Hauthell and to leave looping until something important happens.
In lieu of a variant this week, we've provided two additional BONUS tracks.
"Supper" is relaxed and quasi-meditative, evoking reliably consistent scenes of domesticity.
"A House Once Stood Here" is your go-to for emotional scenes in Hauthell. It's not all sunny days and lounging in the fields, after all!
