a form of terrestrial dragon mostly found in cold mountains. their serpentine bodies allow them swift, effortless movement over most forms of terrain. they do not breathe flame, and instead spit a high pressure water spray made from swallowed snow, which would cause any mammalian prey or attacker to swiftly freeze to death. this is achieved via symbiosis with the fire slimes in their natural gut flora, which assist in breaking down their food and keeping them warm in the cold environment. lindwurms are more closely related to sea serpents than any winged dragon, who they think of as a bunch of hotheaded idiots.
