oh my god something that isn't harvest moon

so at some point last summer i wrote a short character study of dr arbor (the sleeping garden) to wrap my head around the narrative voice i would use for him. i wasn't sure what to do with it because it was So short (it's barely 2.2k) and had the thought i could do a short story anthology exploring the sliding scale of objectification. sex with literal objects>sex with objects shaped like people>sex with people you treat as objects.

and that, as you probably guessed by my word choice, ended up developing into objects of affection, something completely different. which left this story without a home. so i'm just gonna put it out for free. it's good to have a few different samples of your writing. even if, in this case, it's a man masturbating to his pitcher plants.
