Were's First 6 Tease

I'm still not entirely sure what I want to do with this comic and Patreon. In total honesty, I have 6 more pages fully rendered. I want to include them as rewards for patrons, but I also don't want to lose the buffer that I have because coming pages are taking longer and longer to complete. If I lose the buffer then page release dates will be sporadic and I like having a set release day because I have enjoyed comics that release weekly as they give me something to look forward to.

I could release the pages on Patreon as they are completed, but again, thats sporadic. I could do 1 or 2 pages ahead on Patreon but I lose a buffer. Also I'm still trying to decide the look of the comic and I don't want to go back and edit already released pages. Being an artist is hard sometimes. I don't have the luxury of looking at my work in a complete state for the first time and knowing what issues should be addressed.

anyway, heres curtis being a sweaty bitch

Over the course of my time making a comic, regularity(set release dates) was a benefit to the comic's relevance. People are more inclined to think about the comic and remember to go back to it when they know when pages are released. Right now, I don't think there is any way I can't have special release on Patreon - I'm just worried I'm going to lose the buffer I have now and what I'll do then.

I've... never really considered release dates. I've always been 'when they can do it' - as long as the artist shows transparency I'm usually good.

I think it's nice for you to set up a routine so you don't get lost or frustrated, I think that posting 1 or 2 pages a week would be great for you to get organized, because framing, scripting, painting are things that take a lot of time. But that's just a suggestion I have =]

You can come up with some feasible options and have a poll 🤓
