The main reason why he doesn't ask about the wand directly is that asking questions in the custom kp prompt all cost far more points than he has just yet. The attribute unlocks are only 1 point each. He is also trying to decide how to best spend his free attribute points as well as get some pointers on how to raise his physical attributes naturally. Learning more about magic is a major priority to him though. Right now, he is worried that if he doesn't get stronger fast, he won't live long enough to answer any of the big questions, but he does ask more of them later and about magic soon.

So what if he knows toughness affects the mind or dexterity affects some reflexes, it would be much more valuable to learn about stuff he has no idea about, or even save points till he can get the instructions to level up the best way
