Major announcement (upcoming changes)

Hey everybody. I hope that your week is going well. I’m here today with a major announcement, some upcoming schedule changes to Labyrinth of the Mad God and the launch of my brand-new series, Skill-Eater: Prison World Saga.

I’ve been writing LotMG for well over a year now. While I love it and am committed to finishing the series, it’s time for me to add something else to my portfolio. So, I have a bit of bad news, some really good news, and then some logistical stuff to mention.

First the bad news. I’m going to keep the current schedule in place for LotMG for the next three weeks (5 days a week). After that, I’m going to pull back the throttle a little and start going with a 3 day per week release schedule (MWF). This is in part so I don’t get burnt out writing the same story for hours day after day, but mostly because I’m not the fastest writer and releasing 8 days a week is going to push me to my limits.

Which brings me to the good news. My new series, Skill-Eater, will launch on Royal Road on July 16th. I’m including it in the patron for the 10$ tier, which means that you will be getting access to that story too, without having to do anything.

Better still, you’re going to start getting chapters… right now. I’m going to post the first fifteen chapters over the next two weeks (equal to the day 1 release on RR). Then there will be a few days off. Then on the 16th, when the story launches, you will get another 31 chapters all at once, after which we will be releasing in parallel with RR. Skill-Eater will release M-F going forward, but there will be a lot more chapters than that during the three weeks of rising stars.

Skill-Eater (S-E), will have a slightly different chapter structure than LotMG. There will be more variance in the chapter length, but I’m aiming to release around 8k words a week, about the same as LotMG is releasing now. That means there will usually be more than 5 chapters of S-E per week.

Going forward, I’ll be using the collections tags for both stories so you can sort between them easily. Oh, and I’m restarting the chapter numbers on LotMG. For easy reference, each chapter will start with Skill-Eater, or LotMG3, so you know which book its for.
