July Poll # 4 - Where Are You? [And An Open Suggestion Box]

Hey everyone, I hope you're all happy and well.

I'm going to spend my morning recording. I have about 4 pieces I want to get laid down, but before I get into that, I have one more poll for the month. I would like to know - where are you?

As this page grows and the comments, emails and messages come in 24/7, it's getting a little harder to stay on top of them all. But it does make me wonder - where is everyone?

I'm mostly interested so I can get a vague understanding of what time zones most subscribers are in, so I'll keep it simple and go by continent.

And in addition, I'm also curious about a question that doesn't really fit into the polling format... what improvements would you like to see around here? What can I do to make your user experience on Patreon smoother, or more enjoyable? And - looking for replies that are broad in their approach rather than getting into specifics - is there anything different you would like from the audio work? Let me know in the comments!

I've never been to Texas! But then, I've also hardly seen the outback, home in Australia. I love the outdoors but only in short visits, usually.

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas. But, before anyone asks. I’m not a country girl or cowgirl. I’m a city girl who can’t stand outdoorsy activities. πŸ˜†

Born and bred in jolly old England :3 Any fellow Brits here?

Zimbabwe, really?? Wow! And Thanks, Lucy πŸ˜„

That's great feedback, thank you. I like the thinking behind it. And good for you, enjoying the single life and taking it slowly! It's the best approach, I think. (I've only spent one night in Arizona, when I was visiting the Grand Canyon. It was incredible!)

BadFantasy

I'm originally from Zimbabwe but I've been in the UK for the past 20 years! I really love everything you do and have no constructive criticism. Thanks for being awesome!

I should also add, that I don't think you should the change the pacing of your voice acting if it is not relevant to the storyline. Yes, there are other creators out there that use a slow and sensual pace. Which is fine for them, but also at times, that type of mood can come across to me to feel more forced than genuine to the piece. I personally think your style of speech patterns and the emotional responses in your stories are what help you to stand out. It is you. Or you portraying a character in a way that you envision in your creative process. I think of it this way (personal info): I am a single woman who happens to prefer dating without expectations or an objective to find a committed relationship at this current juncture in my life. So, the different men I choose to keep in company with are all very different. There are a variety of voices, mannerisms, demeanors, articulation, accents, respiration, prosody, etc in all of them. There are other audio content creators I am subscribed to and each of them, obviously including you, caught my attention and gained my retention for the special type of flavor/style you carry. So again, I would encourage you not to change those parts of your creations if it is not necessary for a storyline. I hope this helps. πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ’œπŸŒ΅πŸ’œ

Also, I know all the contact Creator advice things say that you should have a consistent posting schedule but I honestly don't mind the randomness. It's like a nice little treat when I see bad fantasy pop up in my email!

Hey there, I'm also in Arizona! Having an assistant is definitely a good suggestion and also like you I am in a position where I could benefit from one but also cannot afford one, LOL! As for any improvements, painted with a broad stroke, I do think that slowing down is a good idea. Slower is sexier, more sensual, and it's okay to have momentary silence. That's when your listener would be responding to you. I also agree with someone else above, that the "Mmms" can be a bit much, like sometimes they pop up before you've actually gotten into the sexy part of your story and so it feels a bit out of place. It also seems like the sex happens on the floor... A lot! It was hot at first but now I've got to the point of being... On the floor... Again? LOL All that being said, it's been fairly impressive how you've Crown as the Creator. You're Laura and world-building and just keeps getting better and it is an absolute pleasure to listen to.

I appreciate the concern for my well-being, thank you 🌹 I think there's a lot of awareness going around these days about how creators can get burnt out, which is great. Being an online creator is still very new to me, but you can quickly see how some people might get caught in a difficult grind with it.... I think shooting and editing video is the real kicker in that regard, which thankfully isn't an issue with my type of work. Luckily for me, burnout doesn't feel like a problem, but you make a good point about quantity vs. quality of work... For me, this feels more like the main issue. At the moment I probably post on average about 2.5 times a week, and I think I'm at the limit of how much I can post while still staying inspired and keeping things at a high quality. It's always reassuring to find supporters who recognise the value in that.

BadFantasy

Simple, very nice. Really I have no idea what I'm doing either, I'm figuring it all out as I go πŸ˜„

BadFantasy

That's an interesting one. I just wish I had enough money to hire someone! Hopefully someday. But I'll keep working until it happens.

Hello. I'm from Arizona 🌡 so my time zone is U.S. Mountain Standard Time. I think it is perfectly fine to allow fluidity in your release schedules. Keeping things general with parameters is good not only for anticipation and build up for your audience keeps a healthy yearning for your work. Plus it allows you more room for creative flow and care for your mental/spiritual health. I personally wouldn't want you, a beloved creator to start releasing content just for the sake scheduling or posting in general. I would not put that pressure on you because it will start to show in your work and I am considering your preservation of the enjoyment of this work you create. I do agree though that if an assistant for the small tasks to free you up a bit, then go for it. I am sure there are people who are willing to volunteer their skills just to build the experience. I highly encourage your self care as a priority at all costs. πŸ’œπŸ’œ

LOLs I’m from the East Coast U.S. specifically North Carolina! I’m thoroughly enjoying everything you’re doing now and as far as broad stroke ideas go… I’ve really no clue. I’m happy the way it is. I get an email notification and then I go listen haha it’s super simple for me. Β―\_(ツ)_/Β―

My suggestion would be to hire someone to handle your online presence like your social media. Or maybe a friend that would volunteer. That would free you to concentrate on the writing/recording, as well as the business side of things.

Hey Sammy, thank you! I appreciate that. South Africa seems like such a beautiful country with a heartbreaking history. I'd love to see more of Africa but I've only been to Morocco and Egypt, never anywhere sub-Saharan. I'm happy my work can bring some calm to your life πŸ™‚

BadFantasy

Sending all my love from South Africa. Even through we're currently experiencing alot of turmoil and strife as a country, your audios make me really happy, and some of them give me hope that someday I can have a small measure of peace and happiness just like in your storylines. I really admire you for catering to the LGBT+ community as well, and your m4m audios are always a favorite of mine. All my love, and keep up the amazing work! You're really touching alot of lives in very special and meaningful ways, and I personally can't wait for more. Xo
