48hr exclusive - The Most Innovative Game of 2019 is...

Hello!

So, as usual, my last video of the year is on the most innovative game from the last 12 months. In the past I've done Her Story, Event[0], Snake Pass, and Return of the Obra Dinn. And for 2019, it's the rule-changing puzzle masterpiece, Baba Is You. Hope you like it!

Now before I release the video on Monday, I wanted to ask you all a question.

I've thought about releasing the video as "The Most Innovative Game of 2019 is...", to hide the identity of the game. This makes it more of a surprise when it shows up as Baba Is You in the video. And, of course, makes people more likely to click! I'd then change it to "How Baba Is You Works" a few days later.

Or, maybe I should just release it as How Baba Is You Works. That's more honest and less clickbaity, but does spoil the surprise.

There's a poll on Patreon for you to make your choice. What should I release the video as?

Anyway - this is my last (public) video of 2019 but I'm definitely not stopping work! I've got lots of stuff for Patrons planned (a game of the year special for Playlist, a bumper reading list, a recap of the year's stats and plans for 2020) and then I'll be planning and preparing for the new year.

Then, I'll take a couple weeks off to reset my brain (getting a bit burned out, so a Christmas break will be huge) and finally play some games off my backlog! Try Death Stranding and Pokemon properly, and finish Star Wars, The Outer Worlds, and Disco Elysium! Oh and like see family, do Christmas stuff, turn off the computer, etc!
