Introducing the GMTK Patreon Jam!

Every year, I host the GMTK Game Jam - which always attracts thousands and thousands of game designers.
But... perhaps you'd like something a little more low key?
Well you're in luck! In December I'm hosting a tiny winter version of the jam that's exclusively for GMTK Patreon supporters. And you can join the jam now.
It's a little different from the main jam. It's longer (though, just use as much of the allotted time as you like - perhaps working in the evenings after work, or just use one weekend). The games aren't rated or ranked. And the community is picking the theme - you can make your suggestion here.
Oh! And, one more thing - I plan to take part! I've promised to never enter the main GMTK Game Jam to keep things fair, but I have no qualms about getting involved with this one. I'll be done with Mind Over Magnet so will be excited to make something new!
A final note - much of the jam will be communicated through the GMTK Discord so make sure you're in there - there's a dedicated channel for this jam. I'll make a post on Patreon just before the jam begins to remind you - but if you want to see the theme, chat with other jammers, and so on, you'll need to be on the Discord.

2024-09-10 20:54:32 +0000 UTCThat's a great idea, I hope I find the time to participate. Just one suggestion: wouldn't it make sense to have a full week instead of six days? Depending on your time zone, some people might miss part of the weekend which is a real disadvantage for those that work full time during the week.
