Flynn's Almost Adventure [Flynn's voice]
Added 2024-11-20 22:37:09 +0000 UTCI remember when this [didn't] happen
Nah, I really do. The amount of times we'd find ourselves on the precipice of an adventure only to utter, "I mean... I'm not gunna say no" and jump in... It's like... yeah. It may have been too much [it wasn't]
okay, team - what's a more dramatic ending to this eerie Halloween story?

Life just pulled me away yesterday. I wanted to answer quick. I immediately thought of a vampire (doc beat me to it🙄) particularly from the movie “once bitten”. Where she only wants virgins. You deceived her at first. Fully fed, she can smell a virgin from miles away. Now that she’s running out of time, they’re a bit off. She tried to get a good sniff as you walked towards the back.. nothing. She finally got a good whiff while you tried to unlock the door. Not a virgin.. lucky Flynn.

2024-11-21 17:18:49 +0000 UTCI’m convinced she was a ghost or possibly entity. Maybe she needed to visit the last place she was before she could pass on? Either way, thank you for helping her! I have thoughts about what should have happened but they’re all unholy.

2024-11-21 16:43:37 +0000 UTC(also yes I do realize this is ✨the polar opposite✨ of "more dramatic"; it was the longest Wednesday of my life and I was tired, I needed ✨less dramatic✨ (and less pomegranate peeling but it was on its way out! Had to be done!)

2024-11-21 03:38:42 +0000 UTCI love it when Nurse Flynn visits I think she had a pomegranate that needed de-seeding, but once you'd opened the door she thought better of inviting in a strange man she'd found wandering the streets after midnight when she was perfectly capable of de-seeding the pomegranate, it's just such a pain in the ass And then she ate a cookie instead and lived happily ever after (this may or may not be related to a thing that just happened in my very home mere moments ago) (I did de-seed the pomegranate. It took the better part of 30 minutes) (i should have just eaten a cookie)

2024-11-21 03:19:37 +0000 UTCseems like you….passed the test? it makes me wonder about the last hundred or so halloween nights. and how other men have walked that exact same route, and came across that exact same woman who somehow hadn’t aged a day. she lured these men to a secluded location by simply asking for help. the ones that do as she asks get to go one with their evenings, souls intact. but the souls of the other men that show their true, more nefarious, intentions when alone with her are…consumed…keeping her young beautiful and ‘alive’ for another year…those men never returning home. [also me ten years ago was definitely naive enough to ask a strange man on the street for help when i probably shouldn’t have. so thanks for letting the situation just be what it was. lol]

2024-11-21 03:11:51 +0000 UTCIt is so weird when life plants a “what the hell was that” moment in front of you and you don’t know it until you’re walking home wondering what you might have missed. The Halloween night setting just kisses the uncanny in the most perfect way, it’s a totally beautiful spooky setup. Now this woman. My thoughts are that you were approached by a female Janus. Janette? The two-faced Roman god of portals, doorways, gates, thresholds, you get it. Janette usually kicks around with Portunus, the god of keys. But, being an ancient god dude living in the 2010s in an urban poolhouse, it seems likely that Portunus was probably out getting high off his own two faces with a lofi mixer. And Janette only deals with doors, not keys. So naturally she’s at a loss when she returns to the locked poolhouse and absent Portunus. Enter you. She sees the scar from Doc’s rapier and intuits that your hands have seen battle and are thus worthy…or she just knows that odds are you’ve unlocked doors before. You serve her need and she’s sated. Whether she wanted more is kept on the other side of the door. She can’t help but leave you with questions—she has two faces, after all. [I had a similar incident involving locked doors and climbing through the window of a very cute neighbor's apartment {with his permission}, but the gods were more delicious, in the end]

2024-11-21 02:48:58 +0000 UTCwillst thou leave me so unsatisfied. HISHE: door opens, you give her the keys and begin to walk away but you feel a pull drawing you back to the mysterious woman. You strike up a conversation and she invites you inside for coffee. Never one to turn away a beautiful woman, you oblige. Once inside you two talk and drink but then you start to feel strange. Before you have chance to register what is happening you slump to the ground limbs limp. The Last thing you see before everything goes dark is the woman standing over you with a wide grin spread wide across her face...

2024-11-21 02:38:25 +0000 UTCIf I may be earnest, (even though I am loving all the witchy, vampire, slasher options) it was not nothing. She was in a predicament, in a town probably unknown to her with an absent friend and she couldn't get into her night's shelter. She probably did a big risk assessment before asking for help, but you looked safe and she asked and you were perfectly kind about it and it probably restored/bolstered her faith in humanity. Later she probably kicked herself for not asking for your number and has spent the last ten years wondering if she'd run into you every time she visits her friend. (Incidentally, many years ago I had just moved into the second floor apartment of a tall ceilinged Victorian duplex and had locked myself out. There was a porch off our kitchen with only a loosely latched screen door, but there were no exterior stairs to it. So I was fretting outside the front door, unable to get ahold of the landlord plus my roommate was out of town. Then this man walked by on the sidewalk and asked if I was OK. I explained the situation and about the second floor screen door. That man shimmied up the porch support post like it was a coconut tree, broke into the screen door, and came downstairs to let me in. I was so overcome with gratitude and awe that I couldn't do anything but thank him profusely and weirdly apologize that I hadn't fully unpacked yet(!?). He told me his name was Dino (❤️) and that he was happy to help and then left. I think about him occasionally and definitely regret not asking for his number.)

2024-11-21 02:15:30 +0000 UTCHi Flynn!! Hmmm....after it was clear that the situation wasn't a setup for some foolishness, at the very least, you should've introduced yourself and then possibly asked for her number if the introduction went well. And...fyi, a little flirting goes a long way to opening doors for adventures. 😊😉 Ok, so here's an alternate ending. You try and try to get this key to work but you end up breaking the key off into the lock. The girl kind of freaks out because not only can she not get in the house, but her friends who own the house are out of town and can't get back there tonight. The girl is visiting from out of town so now she's in a bind because she doesn't have anywhere to stay. She calls the homeowners to explain what happened. They call a locksmith, but unfortunately, the locksmith can't get there for at least 3 or 4 hours. She seems cool and you feel bad about breaking the key, so you offer to let the girl come back your apartment to wait until the locksmith can get there. But what you don't know is that she's a psychopath. Once she's in your apartment, she slips you and the Doc something in your drink that knocks you out. Eventually, you wake up and both you and the Doc are butt naked and tied to your beds. And then the adventure begins!

2024-11-21 01:27:15 +0000 UTCI enjoy how many of these lean supernatural as opposed to slasher.

2024-11-21 01:16:00 +0000 UTCWell I’ll say I’m glad you didn’t become an episode of “my favorite murder” you dear sweet male [fondly] in America. Like so so soooo many wtf are you doings. But for the plot…turning the key should have opened a trap door under the door mat and you were now the prisoner of whoever actually conjured up that little not belonging house that wasn’t even there the next day.
