Love story time! Crystal was a very lucky girl! I never understood why people are so judgy about sex. Women can love sex just like men. I was beginning to think this has been a great way to kick off my bday month π Cinemax still plays it.. π The porn channel was 99 back in the day. You can hear it and the picture was squiggly. Ahh I knew many Crystals. Except βround here their names were Carlos, Carter, Cameron, etc. You get it, they were MEN. Celebrated for having sex with many women and NOT being called a slut. So go Crystal for going after what she wanted. Iβve always been demisexual, I just recently learned the term for it. Demisexuality is not ideal for someone that needs it all the time. I'm in the office on a Friday (something I avoid like the plague), so it's nice to have this as my background while working on expense reports. Those early days of exploration are always the most fun. Even if they are people that would not likely re-enter our lives, it's still wonderful to hear them being given the space of honor in our pasts. Also, Doc...what brand of decaf espresso were you drinking? I've been looking for a decaf alternative for a WHILE.

But the era on other cable networks was equally fascinating because showtime had zalman king and his red shoe diaries (loved. Taught me so much as a youth. Also very much an unknown precursor to audio erotica for women) and hbo had all the late night documentaries: real sex and g string divas. I had a Crystal phase in my 20s, but being a sex-positive woman then [and still now in my 30s] often led to being treated like a Manic Pixie Dream Girl. I was the woman who came into his life for whirlwind fun and maybe so he could work something out in his journey, but my journey was an afterthought, if thought about at all. [*avoids getting "societal norms and feminine sexuality" soap box out*] It made me smile when you rethought and said "we." Those backstage stolen moments are so much fun.
