New arcs normally always starts with the crew sailing towards a new island. Stuff like this typically happens at the end of arc to let us in on what happens in the rest of the world. Just like with the reaction shots around the world. This is what makes the world of one piece feel so complete and so full. The whole world moves on its own, it is not just our main characters that are changing and moving forwards. Just like with the cover story with Enel. A lot of stuff is happening around the world all the time

2024-05-22 03:06:20 +0000 UTCThis episode may seem unrelated to the arc but Ace and Black Beard clashing has been set up for a long time, back on Drum Island when Chopper joined you hear that 5 men(black beards crew) destroyed the country and Ace left a message for Luffy that he'll be at Alabasta, when we get to Alabasta we meet Ace then on Jaya we meet Black Beard before they go to Skypiea.

I can't wait to see your reaction to the next arc's design, (p.s i love it!). although some people have mixed feelings about it, the arc has one of my top 5 memorable scenes in the entire 1000+ one piece episodes, and there are also quite a few foreshadowing for one of my favourite arc (which just recently ended).

I am not new to anime though as I did watch a lot of it when I was younger and I still occasionally watch a show here and there. I have seen a few of the bigger ones like Naruto, Bleach, and Dragonball (and Dragonball Z). I think you guys will like the new arc even though it is not a fan favourite. It has highs and lows but I think it is underappreciated at times because in my opinion it brings a lot of development to the characters and the story.

2024-05-18 13:29:33 +0000 UTCif you guys wanna watch one piece in german you can read the title for every episode! they dont spoil you unlike the english translation. idk why you cant understand that reading the title for one piece is just a summary of the episode u gonna watch. why u wanna read the title just watch the episode. i cant understand why this is so hard to accept. if you really wanna read the title just ask me whats gonna happen in the next 800 episodes i will passionately reveal all the secrets no need to watch the show just watch the highlights theb. im hear to see your reaction for what you dont or wont expect. im not interested in your reviews for one piece. but even people that give reviews dont spoil themselves, they go as far as to deactivate comments on ytube to avoid spoilers they dont even interact with their fanbase until the review gets released π. if you cant have enough selfcontroll and discipline aight then at least wait til the end of the first half of one piece after that i dont care either if you read the title and no jason just becuz its the end of an arc it doesnt change anything you still cant read the title. at this point i assume u guys get more hyped reading the title before watching an episode makes it more exciting cuz u wonder how it will get realized? idk then u might wanna consider reading manga and then watch the anime.

2024-05-18 10:46:34 +0000 UTCthe reason why the arc ends with ace vs blackbeard and not luffy leaving water7 is cuz oda usually uses the beginning or ending of arcs to show us what other characters outside of the strawhats are up to around the world since oda cant switch all the time between so many characters so he focuses on the main cast during the arcs since its their journey and at the end show us what the world is up to for world building

Also Blackbeard mentioned that his power allows him to draw in a Devil Fruit power user's "physical body", which implies that even tho some can turn into stuff like fire, sand and smoke, they still have a physical body. It's just not possible to affect their physical body unless something is countering whatever they become, like fire, smoke, sand, etc. This is how Luffy beat Crocodile. Water was enough of a counter to sand, because water hardens sand, that it allowed Luffy to damage Crocodile's physical body. And obviously Rubber vs Lightning for Enel. Powers in One Piece kinda work like that. It can be vague and hard to immediately pick up sometimes. Blackbeard's power essentially will allow him to fight Ace, Crocodile and Smoker, or anyone with similar powers, as long as he can touch them, because his power shuts off other people's Devil Fruit abilities.

2024-05-17 21:20:28 +0000 UTCMy recommendation is to not listen to people who hype or bad mouth arcs too much. Just come into arcs with zero expectations is what I believe to be the best approach. I seen people who said they loved skypiea but always heard beforehand that it wasn't a good arc. Same with another arc later, where I was watching another reactor heard bad things about an upcoming arc, so they assumed that it wasn't going to be any good. But after they got through it, they said it was their favorite arc.

A cover page is a one-page image at the beginning of the manga, dropped over a number of weeks, which put together make a side story. Kenji, maybe we can put together a summary for it?

Now that you're this far in the story, some of the arcs will end with a sort of recap. There's all sorts of stuff going on in the background during each arc, and the "season finale" lets us know what's been happening. Even though it took awhile to watch all those episodes, I believe Water 7 and Enies Lobby technically took place over the course of only a week or so. In the beginning, it mentioned that the fight between Blackbeard and Ace happened 3 days before the Straw Hats stormed Enies Lobby. Oda has multiple storylines advancing behind the scenes, and they're usually to set up future arcs. For example, Smoker and Tashigi saw the crew's new bounties, and now they're motivated to try and get higher ranks so they can go after the Straw Hats. Whitebeard and Shanks clashing caused a major stir with the Marines. And then of course, the battle in this episode. These threads might not be part of the main story at the moment, but everything going on in the background eventually intertwines down the line. Like I said a couple episodes ago, Oda never tells us anything without a reason.

Glad it's only about 45 episodes. As far as Enel going to the moon, its a nice little story about how some cultures in the OP world are advance more than others and the little cyborg angels we created by beings with angel wings too from a advanced city called Burka who went down to the blue planet because of lack of resource, so you have a idea of where the skipeans and shandians may have originated from a long time ago in the skypia arc.

It's just a side note to understand later plot points. It shows that the world of One Piece is more than just Luffy and his crew.
