The character he created dictates where things are going! That's a really special dynamic between the creator and the creation that I have not seen anywhere else.

And knowing Luffy and his new bunch of allies, you are right questioning how can the WG not succumb. Remember though that they have power in numbers and not only with the Admirals, Vice Admirals and Warlords (Mihawk, Moria, Doflamingo, Kuma to name a few). Blackbeard seems to have obviously chosen not to hold on to his Warlord title after this incursion in Impel Down. This man is a menace.
