I dislike your use of "H" name for Eren as that is just so faraway reference to Eren's character. Eren simply went with the fighting will never stop unless one side is destroyed fully and proceeded to do that. Evil yes, but in his mind he wanted to save his people from this repeating cycle of hatred. Your historical person wasn't even close to thinking like this.

Saw this reaction on YouTube and realized the audio was perfect there - resubbed to support you. Great reactions, very happy y'all were able to get through unspoiled! Can you imagine not seeing this show blind?!

Anguis Viridis

try to imagine the rest of us who have NO choice but to stop for A WEEK at the end of each of these episodes. :)

Wall was made 100 years ago, when King Karl Fritz(who wanted Eldians to accept their fate and die) and Eldians moved to the Paradis Island. So colossal titans were in the walls for 100 years, not for 2000 years.

Hmmmmm 🤔Let's see whats left over to comment, since I'm very late. The baseball ⚾! Eren dropped it in the flashback with Zeke. Hinting something was afoot. Basically Eren refused to "shake" Zeke's hand on the plan. Also in the end credit song of season 2, it shows imagery of the King forcing 3 children to eat what we now know was Ymir, those small details sprinkled along the way is what makes AOT such a memorable story. ...and that last shot of Erens titan face is so haunting, a product of hate :(

Instead of reiterating what everyone has said thus far, all I want to say is from here on out, never forget the theme of “freedom”. In OP, freedom is an optimistic pursuit. But in AOT, “freedom” is a murky ideology achieved differently by various people with differed opinions. To further expand this, when you compare AOT’s “freedom” concept against the question “what enslaves a person?” you see the complexities behind character motivations. What does freedom mean for each person? How far will a person go to achieve freedom? How does one’s experience influence their perception of freedom or enslavement? (Again, like a broken record) it all boils down to varying personal perspectives of the characters driving our story... and will continue to tug your emotions in opposing directions up to the finale.

🤯🤣 I worked at Hollywood Video. We got new releases a week early too!

Still doesn't change the fact that it was pretty evil which is what was taught and i dont think the people really mattered to her as there the reason she almost dies maybe her actual lineage she cared for but who knows🤔. And the king didn't force her if you remember she comes back on her own for many reasons the main reason was she craved love more then anything even freedom you can see it when she's starring at the couple getting married while being a slave and at a very young age. It's only years after(hopefully 18) that the king gives her her 3 children after she put in alot of work for the eldian empire, you can say it was forced but not really as ymir saw it as love. No doubt thoe that the king manipulated her after she came back and for the rest of her life but she really did love him 💕

Jason Mejia

What a great triple! Man it really is conflicting isn't it... not entirely black and white... real life isn't and this is a good story showing that.

i joined in the right month 😁

Clarification on s4x21; Ymir is a child when king Fritz assaults for and forces her to bear his children. Ymir is only a child and goes back to king Fritz because his empire is where her people are enslaved and the only “home” she has become her village was burned down by Fritz. Also successors of the attack titan can send memories to present attack titan, the way to understand how grisha is able to see zeke is because memories are recorded in our brain but, seen through our eyes.so when grisha see’s zeke it’s because eren is looking at them and sending that memory to grisha which must be a shock for grisha to see himself and grown up zeke in the same room, in the past (thanks to the founder + paths where time is infinite allowing future eren and zeke to be present in grisha’s memories, manipulating grisha into doing what eren wants. Eren chooses to show him selected memories to make sure the future happens. Which is the story you see playing out

manne_36

Some of these scenes can be slightly confusing with how/when Grisha sees Zeke. Its so cool that Isayama makes sure to show eren watching his brother and dad, bc he is essentially a camera, transmitting his sight as memories back to his father... AoT is not my favorite show ever, its barely in the top 5, but what nothing nails the big moments better than AoT.

Jake Belcastro

that's right guys, eren is the villain all along!

Gabi is a crack shot, she never misses!

Incredible reaction!!! These three episodes are just absolutely peak!!! The part where they travel through memories was just mind blowing! Ymir’s backstory was so revealing but also truly heartbreaking. Then, when Eren unleashes the rumbling you see his true intentions. Zeke wants to stop Eldians from reproducing and end their bloodline, no more Eldians = no more titans. Eren wants complete genocide, only his people from the island of paradis to be the last humans left. This is what Grisha was shown by Eren, and why he told zeke to stop Eren. The up and down conflicting emotions you guys have are what we all experienced , such an emotional roller coaster!! Thanks again for taking my request for this reaction, it was absolutely worth it! Glad you enjoyed it!! You two are the best!!❤️❤️

Episode 21 comment Did you guys catch the names of ymirs 3 daughters? Maria Rose Sina "the walls" 😵. If you remember there have always been 2 sides of the story and both are correct ymir and the eldian empire were actually really evil 2000 years ago, marley always taught the eldians living on marley that that was the case but if you heard the opposite was also true if you remember grisha and the restorationnist always preached that ymir helped build rodes bridges etc... Also when you see ymir building all those huge titans those are the titans hiding in the walls. Ymirs story is really sad all she ever wanted was to be loved that's why she sacrificed herself for the king when the spear got thrown she threw herself infront of it she wanted to see some type of emotion out of the king but got nothing she could've healed and lived but chose to just die. Even in death wherever she got stuck she was still a slave for the king for 2000 years in regular time, in her world those 2000 years probably felt infinite. And in the very end we actually see her eyes and all the pain she held in thanks to eren. Now erens the founding titan that last message he gave was chilling but makes sense if he just tramples the world military alliance it won't stop. The people in the military have family friends and would most likely seek revenge and not just that they'll still have that fear of the eldian people

Jason Mejia

(Comment for episode 20) Jason's right zeke cares for eren but not for his father. But if you notice unlike with zeke Grisha put aside his mission for his family. The scene where eren was talking about taking someone's freedom before they take his happened in season 1 episode 6 I think. It was when mikasas parents were killed and eren rescued her bye killing I think it was 3 traffickers. Now that the attack titans special power has been revealed being able to see into the future I can say yes in all the scenes where it looked like erens dad was looking right at zeke or eren he actually was that's because of the attack titans ability to see into the future grisha gets erens memories of him and zeke going to visit all those past memories. Hope I explained that correctly 🫠

Jason Mejia

First of all. AWESOME REACTIONS!! I loved watching your minds melt throughout these 3 episodes. Also guess what guys!?....You can now safely watch the new intro! Enjoy the banger intro and song. Now, Jason was right about Zeke not harboring any animosity toward Eren. In words, Zeke had some serious daddy issues but no ill feelings towards Eren. That is until he realized that his father was not the bad guy he thought he was when he and Eren went traveling through Grisha's memories. Also to clear something up in case you guys are confused. The holder of the Attack Titan can interact with the past and future memories of its previous and future holders. Meaning that Eren had access to not only his father's memories but that of Eren Kruger/"The Owl". This is why at the end of Season 3 "The Owl" mentioned Mikasa's and Armin's names to Grisha without knowing who they were before passing on the Attack Titan to Grisha!! Also when Eren said he saw EVERYTHING "four years ago" he is referencing the moment he had when he kissed Historia's hand at the medal ceremony at the end of Season 3. In short, at that time he saw a big part of the future to come. Hence the look on his face as if shocked by electricity or something. That event was a major foreshadowing moment. The other half of the future, and past, he was able to access/influence occurred when Zeke brought Eren into his father's memories in episode 20. With that being said, Heather is right that Zeke's "euthanasia plan" was simply to prevent all Eldians from having children. Therefore ensuring the Eldian race would die out over time and thus result in the end of all Titan powers. In other words, Zeke wanted to commit a "soft genocide" against the Eldian people, his people, by preventing them from having children. However Eren was never going to allow that to happen therefore he double-crossed Zeke. Why? Because Eren wants to protect everyone on the island of Paradis, especially his friends, but he also understands how the nations of the world want them all dead. So his plan is to basically go into hard genocide mode to kill off all life outside the island using the Rumbling. I.e, releasing the march of millions of Titans that were always in the ways.

Drift3r

The first episode, titled "To You, 2000 Years Later," contains a message from Ymir asking for someone to save her. Eren wakes up from a long dream, crying, and Mikasa asks why, but he doesn’t know. In episode 80, "From You, 2000 Years in the Past," Eren finally meets Ymir, bringing the story full circle. Ymir was a slave to the Eldian king, Fritz, who is the only character in the show without any shades of gray morality—he’s purely evil. Ymir dies and goes to the Paths, where every time someone transforms, she literally builds the Titan from sand. To her, the 2,000 years that passed felt like millions upon millions of years. Ymir’s daughters, Maria, Rose, and Sina, are the names of the walls, though the walls were not built 2,000 years ago but only 100 years ago. Finally, Eren influences the past to control the future by convincing his father to kill the Fritz family, making him the main villain responsible for all the bad things that happened from season one onward, including the events that affected him and his friends. This was hinted at from the beginning: Eren saying he would destroy the world while unconscious during the fight with Annie, Erwin asking Eren who the real enemy was, and Eren himself asking Ymir and Reiner in season two, “Who is the enemy?” not knowing he was the enemy all along. I love how Isayama made everyone fall in love with and root for anime Hitler so casually.😂

These eps are cuckoo-bananas. First, Eren’s head getting blasted off will never not shock me. I was crying and my one year old looking at me, giving me a hug. Oh geez, AOT is such a rewatchable show. I hope u guys rewatch someday on ur own time so u can binge it and understand it more and appreciate all the subtle details. About 54 more weeks of AOT? Isn’t that crazy! We’re almost there! Hold on to ur butts because AOT is not slowing down. moral compass questioned: unlocked!

Regie Khemvisay

The tittle Two brothers(episode 19)is referring to Eren and Zeke Falco and colt and Gallierd and Porco( jaw titan) 3 sets of brothers each set sacrificing something for the other. Also guys zeke does have a heart but remember this is someone who baseball slaughter a bunch of ppl and didn't give a F*** fools on a mission. And don't know if you noticed but as soon as everyone turned Into titans the soundtrack that played hasn't been played since season 1. And also when eren and zeke where in that other dimension zeke said everytime one of the 9 titans transforms it takes ymir(the little girl) years to make them. There in a place where everything happens all at once (past present future)thats why zeke said it felt like hes been waiting for years but its been seconds since eren became 2. To me that was mind blowing it takes eren and everyone else seconds to transform but for ymir it takes countless years to sculp each one.
