But the current anime itself is taking a six month break from new Episodes starting this month all the way until april 2025. That means for people like us to caught up with all the episodes we have to wait until april next year for a new episode. so relish this enjoyment and take your time with these episodes cause as the show gets progressively more amazing you may want to go faster and it will feel like toture to wait weekly for a new episode when you are all caught up.

If you notice how when he first arrived on Maiden Island after Saboady, having just lost his crew right in front of him, he became overwhelmed by negative thoughts. His instinct was to drown them out, using laughing mushrooms to hide the painful memories. This was the first time that we see how Luffy tries to deal with his negative emotions. And now , after Ace’s death, you can see the struggle in him to confront his grief and fully process his loss. In his mind, Ace was invincible, someone who could never die. It’s easy to forget that Luffy is only 17 years old at this point, and he’s lost not only his brother but also his crew, his support system. These feelings are incredibly heavy for someone so young, especially since Luffy has always seen himself as the one who has to protect others. In that last scene, when he finally breaks down, it’s a raw, emotional moment that shows how deeply he’s been affected. It’s the first time we see Luffy in such a vulnerable state, crying out for his brother and realizing that, for all his strength, there are some things he just can’t protect

The stupid show never fails to make me cry ToT Japanese voice actors are incredibly talented; they always capture the right emotions in such a raw and authentic way, making every moment feel genuine and impactful. I mean, absolutely there are talented voice actors in every country, but the standard in Japan is remarkably high, even among those considered average.

Historically, pirates had diverse origins: many were sailors, privateers, or naval mutineers who turned to piracy due to economic hardship, political shifts, or harsh conditions at sea. Others became pirates to escape oppressive systems, survive in lawless regions, or rebel against colonial powers. Pirates also attracted social outcasts, including escaped criminals and runaway slaves, who sought freedom and a better life outside rigid societal structures. i could add so much more. While One Piece pirates often pursue power or freedom, real pirates typically aimed for survival and wealth. The show makes pirates seem more globally destructive and dangerous than they were in reality. Just some parallels to show you the system (government, marines, pirates, revolutionaries, nobles, slaves, etc.)

They don't see themselves as being in the wrong. And to be honest, I can't blame them, as most pirates are a manace. It's like saying that we wish for the police to be able to work with terrorists one day. That's never going to happen. We realise that Luffy and some other pirates are the exception to the rule, but even the heroes of this story, have many grey areas. Like it would be in real life, they are fundamentally good, but they are humans and as such they act on impulses or egoistically (for example, freeing lots of potentially dangerous prisoners, to save your brother). The Marines (in their own words and standpoint) are all that are standing between order and anarchy. At the same time we saw Sengoku upset at the WG for hiding the truth about Impel down, we saw people cheering up for WB's death. Mostly people that never knew him and that are only relying on the accounts that the corrupt government lets out. So there's bad and good on both sides and to quote Doflamingo: "Pirates are Evil? Marines are righteous? These terms have always changed throughout the course of history. Kids who have never seen peace and kids who have never seen war have different values!"

I looked at her w/ a mad face & said " are you happy now?" her tears came down as she said "i just wanted to see if you were alive". yrs later my uncle saw me in pain after stubbing my toe on the table & he laughed & said "embrace it boy, it means you're alive!"... i guess he was right

2024-10-15 18:28:57 +0000 UTCyes majority of pirates in one piece are terrorists, as u saw they burned a whole town or invaded entire island etc. but the main reason why things got worse is cuz of whitebeards speech before his death, he confirmed that THE ONE PIECE IS REAL! now even the last pirate is convinced that it exists (basically), add to the fact that a yonko (whitebeard) just died means there is an empty position to become a new yonko, whitebeard was simply too strong to fight against now that he is gone pirates try their chances!

Please know I love this reaction and community so much!!* The things I love about Oda are the way he emphasize the weight of an era, along with his understanding on good and evil. ‘The world awaits for our answer’ —dragon more or less mentioned this before the grandline’s story started to show us how complex this world was (colonialism, slavery). The 4 parties (WG, Pirates, Marines, and Revolutionary) have a hand in shaping the world as the people know it, and Oda always emphasizes how their very subjective answers/ideals to the world’s as they see it (wanting to free the people, hating the pirates for justice, and wanting personal freedom) are the very gear that move and shape the era. Simultaneously, Oda illustrates how each of these parties with different ideals find conflict with each other. That does not mean any of these people are clearly good or evil. He painted them in parallels (e.g., blackbeard and luffy; Garp and Akainu) to show how it is not their ideals are wrong or evil. He showed how humans are inherently selfish (in the way everyone wanna be free, even helping others have its own selfishness). Selfishness is not inherently evil. Evil comes from people personal corruption and manipulation of ideals to oppress others (colonizing people to gain you a foothold of power). It’s crazy to think he created this complex belief when he was so so young!! . Anyway, i’m done. Thank you if any of you read this far :”””
