I don’t think I wouldve continued to love Luffy if he started being serious and emo coz 2yrs passed and because Ace died. We all fell in love with Luffy like this in the beginning, and we still love him now because of who he is.

Like the crew has the mentality that they can face most threats so their not expecting people to sneak on the ship and gas them. Same reason the Crew let Caribou (the swap guy) go around Fishman island and steal treasure and mermaids. They didn't see him as a threat, so they just captured him in a barrel, but didn't deal with him. Even the weakest person can become a threat, in the right circumstances.

We’ve gotten to the point where all story ideas have been used in one way or another. Now when we start a story that new and fresh we lose that feeling I know where the story is going. It is an odd place to be after many people consider themselves media literate to not know what is going on. The purpose has changed from enjoyment to judging how well a story sticks to a story trope or how well they break down all the walls while remaining in the genre.

2025-01-18 01:32:51 +0000 UTChahaha well Oda has a storytelling style where he often begins a new arc with seemingly random or confusing moments (even reading the past few manga chapters most of us were confused about what was going on and that is after reading 1130 plus chapters ) , what feels like an unrelated or chaotic event in the beginning always has a purpose and is explained in due time. that's why so many people are writing theories because we know that no matter what he shows us he will always connect the dots later in the story so every detail counts.

2025-01-17 23:41:43 +0000 UTCI know luffy can be frustrating sometimes but me personally I just accept luffy will have his childish tendencies….usopp is that way for me with his almost cowardly nature..In my opinion the beautiful part of the straw hats is that they know each other’s strengths and weaknesses so they are there for each other when they’re dealing with trouble that comes up That’s kind of why in the past different characters are so surprised that luffy is the captain lol

To help you keep track, here’s a quick recap: So, we’ve landed on an island called Punk Hazard, by mistake. Due to an emergency signal, but really because Luffy was like, “ADVENTURE TIME!” and here we are.🤷🏻♂️ Anyway, they’ve mentioned Wano Kingdom, but we’re not in the Wano Kingdom, however , we did meet the jigsaw 🧩 dis-assembled Samurai face who’s tagging along because he’s searching for his son. Classic side quest, and I love me some side quests ✌🏼✌🏼 Oh, and now Smoker and his squad of Navy soldiers have rocked up as our official party crashers, huzzah 🎉 . As for the island itself? It’s basically a dance of Fire and Ice caused by two admirals (Aokiji and Akainu) (someone please tell me they remember playing the game fireboy and watergirl😅🥲, my middle school years recess flashbacks), sorry, back to the main plot now, I got sidetracked 😂, anyways I hate the lava guy, he killed Ace, and I am patiently waiting for karma to slap him across the face. Preferably soon, thank you, and that is the tea so far 🙏🏼😇

When this arc started I was already so annoyed that the straw hats were messing around. Like did we forget how badly we got wiped out 2 years ago. I get the straw hats are supposed to not be this serious crew but there are time when we can’t mess around and have costly mistakes.
