The songs they played at the end were done by Avril Lavigne who is a One Piece fan, the first song they play over the credits is a cover of the Nickleback song "How You Remind Me"

The man driven by his regrets and loss to destroy the system he thinks is terrible, the corrupted navy that is still trying to protect civilians in some part, or the pirates driven by their self-interest that in some ways cause devastation to people—you can't differentiate who is correct and the true hero in the end. AND, I love that until the end you can't find the answer to this. That song, tho. Take the soul out of me every time. “Even if I were to disappear, The omniscient ocean leads the way.”

I just wanted to point out that our one and only Tina is the mod who put the SBS together for you and she did a fantastic job at that! Can't wait for the new SBS section! Also, I love Enya, great choice for the ending song!

2025-01-21 10:13:21 +0000 UTCI don't want to take anything away from DS (sorry DS fans) but this movie is proof that OP has the potential to surpass any other anime in terms of animation, coupled with peak storytelling. Taking into account how old OP is, there is bound to be different levels of animation depending on the technology available at the time of writing/drawing. But thankfully times have changed and that will reflect on future OP arcs.

2025-01-21 07:05:57 +0000 UTCThe shot of the three young marines in the flashback with Garp are Tsuru (the old marine lady vice admiral with white hair), Sengoku and Garp himself! I adore Garp as a character! So cool looking!! And regarding Aokiji, I started having so much more respect for his character after I learned that he left the marines because he didn't want to serve under Akainu! I already liked him after he let child Robin escape and also after that brief exchange they had after Enies Lobby (with the wall between them), but this movie also cemented the idea of Aokiji possibly becoming an ally in the far far future (one can only hope!)
