2025-01-24 05:32:31 +0000 UTCI was so disappointed in Sanji and franky. It genuinely made me mad and I wanted to stop watching one piece for the day when I first saw this episode. Even if they didn’t have a plan or truly know what was going on with the kids I don’t know how you can turn your back on crying kids. Sanji said “ we can’t just help every person we come across” but when has luffy ever turned someone down who needed his help and needed saving. Did Sanji forget who his captain was and whose crew he is on. Yes we are pirates but not regular pirates. And yes we hate when we’re called heroes or people see us as hero’s because in luffy’s eyes helping someone is not being a hero it’s just the right thing to do regardless and he believes there shouldn’t be a title associated with that. At least that’s my interpretation of why luffy doesn’t like being called a hero. I know this specific moment is supposed to highlight nami’s soft spot for kids but I was really disappointed in some of our strawhats. Luffy would have never even thought about turning his back on those children and as someone a part of his crew you reflect your captain’s morals and ideologies. That was not very strawhat of franky and Sanji.

But they have grey lines on what should not be crossed based on their experiences. Examples being: Luffe: when someone is dying for their dream Sanji: anything food Nami: children Chopper: illness And, I love them this way. They are not hero or justice. They are just human with their selfishness

The seven warlords have government protection and work with the government when needed. The Four Emperors: which Big Mom is apart of and Whitebeard use to be are just the four strongest pirates in the world and feared by the government. In the New World, where the emperors reside most pirates ally with them for protection. Like all the ones that allied with Whitebeard. This is all previous info but I understand why it’s easy to confuse the two groups of pirates.
