These a tear jerker for sure! But it doesn't help that most of G-5 ignored Smoker's instructions and Tashigi to insist on fighting Straw Hats! Then when they do run time to get out is shortened and then they stop again to stare at what's going on and the new hole in the building! My favourite moment Zoro reminding Luffy hey we didn't train for 2 years to level up for nothing for you to get caught so easily! The fact that Zoro didn't need to finish his sentence Luffy knew what he was getting at and laughed! This is just so good!

2025-03-14 17:56:16 +0000 UTCThat is the main problem with my argument. My only rebuttal could be don't put the 'King' in harm's way. A headless snake can't put up any fight.

2025-02-10 22:46:30 +0000 UTCThe only reason I disagree is because those 4 solders chose to do that. So it wasn't really Tashigi's fault, that other people wanted to do something different. So for me its really their own fault that they died because they chose to save her. Now if she knew that they would do that and allowed them to do so anyway then It would be her fault

2025-02-10 22:23:25 +0000 UTCYeah, she's very hot headed sometime and reminds me of Vivi. They are both naive at times but it doesn't come from a bad place.

2025-02-09 17:03:04 +0000 UTCI think there is a key difference being that the Straw Hats are pirates and don't have anyone outside of their group relying on them. Marines have responsibilities and loyalties outside of their current crew. Since marines are unlikely to be allowed to choose who they serve with and could be transferred at any time, expecting the same amount of Nakama power is difficult. As marine you can die to protect others, but as a leader unless your death leads to them leaving the island safely (in this case) you cannot allow yourself to die and leave your men in danger. As for whether she planned to live or die. To me it looked like the only reason she made it through the door in time was because the others threw her through. She may not of planned to die but her actions were irresponsible risking the lives of the men Smoker entrusted her with her men and the children. Tashigi Betrayed Smoker's trust for ever putting herself in that position and betrayed her duty to protect the children. Tashigi should care about her men, but the children's lives should rank higher.

2025-02-09 02:55:11 +0000 UTCWhile I understand your point, I think she was applying the "no man left behind" principle, by making sure everyone was safe before going ahead. And while it's a risky business, this kind of behaviour can often result in increased motivation for the individuals and can contribute to the mission's success. Plus, I don't think she was planning on dying there. You must also remember how much OP stresses about the nakama concept, even Luffy and the SH do that! They would never leave any SH behind at the cost of losing their lives!

2025-02-08 15:06:55 +0000 UTCTashigi angers me. I think those 4 navy soldiers were on the other side of the door and were safe but went out to save Tashigi. Even if they weren't, the time they spent dragging Tashigi they could have saved themselves. To put yourself in harm's way to save others is courageous. Hower what Tashigi did was foolish, standing on that side of the door did not increase the chances of the soldiers surviving. In my mind Tashigi actions killed those 4 soldiers and would have caused more losses to the people who survived if they had to act without a leader present. Tashigi is the leader in Smokers absence and to risk her life in this moment is to risk or condemn the lives of all under her command. A bleeding heart is not suitable to be a leader, unnecessary losses will occur in the present while they cry over the people they lost in the past. Mourning and time is a luxury to be expect in modernity. A luxury too expensive those most of human history, for those who fight, and those who try to survive. Like with Vivi her tears would not quench the thirst of her people.

2025-02-08 02:38:09 +0000 UTCI feel like the majority of anime is for the teenage boy. I attempt to look past some of the generic tropes to try to find the best parts of stories. nothing's ever 100% perfect. As a example I like how kill la kill takes it's fan service and flips it on its head for purpose of discussion. For me It's all about how it's handled. Being self aware of it and using it as a talking point or a joke I feel is better than just being there for ooh and ahh.

2025-02-08 01:12:12 +0000 UTCYeah, the type of Anime One Piece is, is targeted for the teenage boy audience. So many of the female characters will have increased bust size, and you will get occasional shower scene to show of all the curves even though it isn't necessary. That being said One Piece is pretty tame compared to other Anime of the same type.

2025-02-08 00:44:28 +0000 UTCI think some things you forgot or mixed up. Franky is currently not with everyone, he went back to the Ship. Also Smoker never gave the troops any orders, Law did, and the soldiers aren't going to listen to a Pirate. You got to remember at this point G5 thinks Law, and the Strawhats are still enemies just because their Pirates.

2025-02-07 18:08:45 +0000 UTCJason you need a Bushes beans sponsor before you go giving away free publicity. π And yes Heather most female in anime suffer from a back problem.
