Another great reaction guys! First, to answer the food question, I would have to say Tacos. There’s so many different types and ways to have tacos, it would be easier not to get tired of having them. Now onto Demon Slayer, Gyomei is another character with such an awful and sad backstory. But on a positive, he found hope and belief in Tanjiro. Gyomei sees just how pure Tanjiro really is. Now this last episode ends on such a cliffhanger. Muzan is in fact inside the masters mansion and has found Master Ubuyashiki. What happens next will be the finale of the last official season of Demon Slayer. I can guarantee you guys will be blown away by the epic conclusion to the finale. I know this might be the last post we can talk about demon slayer, hopefully you guys can do a recap special before the movie comes out or something like that. I will recommend that you guys watch the series again, maybe in the dubbed version too so that way you guys can get a refresh before you watch the movie. Every character that’s still in the show will have an impact on the end of demon slayer so getting familiar with names and faces will definitely make everything make more sense for the ending. Lastly I will say this finale is going to setup the movie trilogy and end of demon slayer, and let me tell you it’s gonna be a non stop absolute INSANELY WILD RIDE !!! So, buckle up and be ready! As always Jason and Heather, you guys are the best! Set your heart ablaze! Love you guys!

But I’m stubborn, so I was determined to finish it.😂 There’s so many other manhwa & light novels out there with better plot. Solo Leveling is just the flashiest.

(I mentioned this with Lucia) but even after rereading the ending, I still thought “meh” to the resolution.

While the Solo Leveling anime is GOOD, I wouldn’t call it GREAT—cuz I read the manhwa (currently reading the sequel Solo Leveling Ragnarok) & I know all of the content that was cut out. One of my biggest gripes is that the anime cut character development to dramatically speed up the pacing. While the anime is able to portray the adrenaline rush of Solo Leveling, the breakneck pacing (to get to a specific arc in its 2nd season) strips away the depth. Though the animation truly is top-tier, it feels like A-1 Pictures chose to emphasize visuals over plot. If you haven’t read it (& I’ve read it twice), you don’t know what you’re missing & the anime feels just fine as it is. But if you do know, you can see the flaws clear as day. These cuts will also present problems & changes in the later half of the plot—or they’ll choose to just cut it out again.🤷♀️ But I really liked the stuff that was cut. And I liked how language (in the source material) is used to create tension within the plot, creating misunderstandings that are both intentional & unintentional—which was poorly conveyed thus far. There’s waaay more to my complaints, but then we’re stepping into spoiler territory.😂 If S2 ends where I think it will, then the story is more than halfway over by the end of S2 (covering up to chapter 107, out of a total of 179 chapters). If it stays at the pace it’s currently developing, it’ll end by S4—I highly doubt it could get further than that without including the sequel series (& the epilogue has too much content that can’t work due to the cuts the anime already chose to make). If it followed the pacing of its source material, then I believe it would have a bigger impact during the critical plot points. As much as we think plot & world-building drives a story, what really creates attachment to a story are the characters—& the Solo Leveling anime (in my opinion) just doesn’t reach the same depth due to sacrificing character development. It WILL definitely draw in views if added to your line-up of reactions! Take my opinion with a grain of salt, cuz like I said: if you don’t know what you’re missing, it’s definitely a fun watch.

And plus you can make it with so many things and serve it different ways. I’m okay with skipping the poll and just diving right into solo leaving. To answer your question about how popular solo leveling is it beat jjk and is now the third highest ranked anime on crunchy roll. The first being one piece at 593k rating, demon slayer at 585k rating, and in 3rd solo leveling with 584k ratings. By the time you see this it will probably already surpass demon slayer in ratings. And it beat so many of its own records that it set in the first season. It’s the most popular anime out right now. I can’t wait for you guys to react to it!

2025-03-12 19:11:42 +0000 UTCThe child who led the demon to the house of children with Himejima seems familiar… (see Zenitsu’s flashback from 1x17) This season was only 8 episodes because it was based on only a few chapters that were heavily expanded by the anime with a lot of anime-only scenes. They wanted to give us a “season” before ending it with the final 3 movies. Also great reaction as always, can’t believe you guys are caught up after next week!! Hope you enjoyed the journey and are excited for the movies!!!
