Great reaction!….I love you both!

Hi!!! Just a suggestion, a full length of the episode would be more enjoyable in Patreon here. It saves your time editing for Patreon and is able to upload sooner. Just post edit and filter some screens for YouTube afterwards?

That’s a good call! We will definitely implement that when watching! As you can see we are learning at the same time!😊🫶🙌🏼❤️

Also don’t be afraid to pause to speak for the future episodes I wouldn’t want you guys to miss something important. I’m loving these I’m just curious to see your guys reactions to the stuff later. Not sure if you know this but the first arc the live action covers is known for being the most boring and “before anything cool happens”. So it’d be interesting to see your take on stuff later as well

Oh wow that’s really cool! And definitely agree hard to beat the original form almost always

Being part of the film industry we actually know a lot of English voice over actors so we totally understand the hard work that goes into it! But everything is better in its original form

The Japanese is great! I give a ton of credit to the English version for what they have to do to even make things work! I watched the English dub for a while before I switched

Thank you for all this information!! We are definitely preferring the Japanese version the best! ❤️❤️

For the difference between adapting the live action and the anime from the manga: the live action uses the manga first and adapts certain scenes to the different medium by changing it to better fit live action. Contrary to what many have said, the live action does do some borrowing from the anime but the main source is the manga. Now for the anime, it takes the manga and translates many of the manga panels exactly 1 for 1 a large amount of the time, but the anime will also extend and fill in the blanks between manga panels to increase the runtime to fill out an episode which is something they have to do in order to not catch up to the manga, since generally 1 anime episode adapts 2 to 3 chapters of the manga. Since you get about 2 to 3 chapters in an episode and have only 2 years separating the start of the manga (1997) and the anime (1999), and with about 40ish chapters and 40ish episodes coming out a year, you can see how eventually the anime would catch up. Since they don't want the anime to pass the manga since there would be no source material to draw from, they padded out episodes with different filler scenes or reaction shots and created whole filler arcs to combat catching up with the manga.

The English version also feels off because of the fact they have to work super hard to match the Japanese mouth flaps. It's why certain words can feel off or odd or out of place, or even whole sentences are completely changed from what would be a better translation from the Japanese.
