This episode 28 when Luffy punch thru his spiked iron cape is when the World knows who Luffy really is. His Epic debut. Another one is when he turns Gear 2nd. and defeats Lucci. Not about him defeating LUcci but How he defeats Lucci.

Being made of rubber only makes him invulnerable to blunt attacks, so things like punches and kicks, being crushed, falling from high places, etc can't hurt him. But he can still take damage from sharp objects, fire, explosions, etc. Great reaction!
