2023-12-10 15:59:18 +0000 UTCI mean, Coby having a crush on Luffy is well within a reasonable interpretation of his feelings, I think! That said, I think it was the pretty sparkles surrounding his dream-Luffy that he was specifically referring to. Although reading what I just wrote, it just reinforces my impression that he does, in fact, have a crush, lol. But mainly Luffy is his lodestar in life, his inspiration and mentor. Both Coby and Koby are correct, it's just a matter of what you prefer. In the manga at this point it had only ever been written as "コビ", so someone just picked one option and everybody else just went with it, I think. Hey, cats go wherever they want, nothing do do about it, lol. Morgan is such a terrible parent. Though on rewatch, I realised that he actually was going to bring Helmeppo with him to build his new kingdom, and that he showed a little surprise, maybe even a glimmer of respect for Helmeppo when he finally stood up to him. I think that's why he didn't kill the two of them and instead just threw them overboard, maybe. Good call on Navy headquarters, Heather! (I say this because you'll already have seen it in the next episode so it won't be a spoiler.)

S2 live action is supposed to cover episodes 48-130….thats double the content than S1 so there wouldn’t be room for cameos. Plus they won’t be important again till the 300s. But I’m sure you guys will understand when you finish the Alabasta Arc! Many exciting characters await!

Garp worked since he was in the East Blue anyway so it's not the biggest change. The Big one is the grandpa drop. That comes much, much, later. Good intuition Heather about HQ. Now Garp has Coby and Helmeppo in full time training. I love Coby so much he's a top 3 non straw hat character for me. His backstory really happens in front of us at the beginning of the story. Him meeting Luffy is really the complete launch of his character. As I always say. What Shanks is to Luffy, Luffy is to Coby. Luffy is simply Coby's hero.
