The marines are sort of the military power under the control of the world government. The marines generally work to uphold justice, although that justice might be different depending on which marine you ask. Garp is not a part of the world government, he is a marine. The world government are above the marines in the chain of command so to speak. You will learn more about this so I will not say any more than this. I don't think this is spoiler territory personally. The essence of what I am trying to say is that the marines and the world government are two different things, although they generally work together

They are all on different parts of One Piece, and I get a plethora of different perspectives. Their are even some that got to Alabasta and still didn't like the arc and liked Arlong Park more.

2024-01-20 06:12:45 +0000 UTCThese are fun episodes to watch. Some of the best of this arc with how the content flows. It always makes me happy to see a crazy banquet after a hard fight. Luffy is just naturally hilarious with all of the cheerful chaos he brings. I love the relationship and characterization of Koza and his dad Toto. They are representations of the will of Arabasta, and general human willpower. Toto never lost faith in the King, and Koza fought when he thought the King turned evil. While Koza was wrong since they were being fooled by Crocodile (weather manipulation to destabilize a country, another parallel to a real world conspiracy), he showed that he truely is the "Leader" as he was the one that rallied everyone to topple over a perceivably evil King. Toto's strong will and determination yielded the water that helped Luffy figure out and defeat Crocodile. He took on a lot and ultimately played a critical role in saving the Kingdom. He was awesome. I find some of these characters actually get better and deeper with time as the themes and world are fleshed out more. It felt great to see Igaram show up. Who knew I would love seeing this weird man with an oversized powdered wig hairstyle again? You can actually trace back how he survived. Back in Whiskey Peak, before Igaram's ship blows up you briefly see a bunch of hands pop out (1/2 a second maybe?). We first met Ms. All Sunday the scene after, where Vivi mentions she's the reason she knows Croc's identity. She obviously pushed Igaram off that ship which had been rigged by Mr. 5's bomb power, saving him with her power. She's been foiling Croc and helping the princess out the whole time, as much as she could. Great reaction from you guys, glad you're enjoying the show! I understood what you meant about imagining watching this as a kid, same here. Some pretty great stuff coming up, I think you're going to love it!

Even in Japan OP anime is advisory for 13+ However, many Japanese children read the manga instead (well formally no restricted age for the manga) it also has less adult content than the anime. The kid’s version of the manga also published and available in Elementary school and libraries for kids to read. So many of us that called “One Piece children” literally grow up reading one piece because it’s so good and the moral lessons just unlike any other. Manga is a good tool for young children if you want them away from devices and get into good stories. My parents checked what manga series I can read until I was 4th grade afterwards it just part of everyday

In my opinion it is kind of under appreciated because it kinda gets lost in the shuffle of all the larger scale arcs.

Also, anime is very adult oriented so you may see some adult themes or risqué stuff even if you think it’s a kid show. Japanese culture is different than the US culture. There is a current controversy going on as recent as last week about a certain OP character that the internet in a uproar. Do not look into since it about something way way down the OP road from where your currently at. Also you may hear English in OP and other anime from time to time is because Japan has a thing for all things America and they like to put English into their work.

I'm pretty sure he said in the live action the reason why he never accepts going higher in promotion. Garp and Smoker both have their own moral codes that doesn't fully align with higher ups.
