It just makes you think of every book, movie, and TV show, that ended with me saying why didn't they do the "thing" or leave it to your imagination. I know its meant to let people decide on the ending they like best, but it is the Auther's world. If I like it I want the Auther's ending not a vague "and everything worked out how ever you the viewer imagined it would." The only caveat is that are those writer's that like to destroy their character or world to give it a final ending. I just thinks lazy and makes the story pointless in the end, if everyone dies anyway.

@Feshingredient, oh right, I used the wrong word making it confusing. Oda didn't direct it. But he was heavily involved and joined the production in the later movies starting from Strong World. The movies in which Oda sensei heavily involved: Strong World --- the whole story was written by Oda himself. This movie was awarded for Excellent Animation of the Year at the 34th Japan Academy Prize. You are talking about things that haven’t happened yet, that is a spoiler because it hasn’t happened for them in the story yet, you giving away that we haven’t seen him yet is a spoiler because they wouldn’t know that because they haven’t got to where you are in the story to say these things get it? When you start talking about what happens in the future is giving away future details that they will find out that’s why they’re reacting they want to find out on their own

Because him going to the moon hasn’t happened yet and the reactors didn’t come to that conclusion on their own so when you give away information that hasn’t happened where they’re CURRENTLY(that’s the keyword currently) at in the story that’s a spoiler. It’s really that simple, when you give away something that literally hasn’t happened yet or you give away a timeframe for when a character reappears or not that’s spoilers.

Oda actually doesn’t direct any of the movies how could he when he’s already so busy with everything else, he just designs the new characters and gives them some basic background information then the movie people run with it, even the last two movies which Oda was supposedly very involved with weren’t good so his involvement doesn’t inherently mean it’s going to be better because the good movies weren’t solely his work.

Knowing it now or later on in the show doesn’t spoil a thing as we never see him again and it was pretty obvious that he was still alive by the end of Skypiea so I don’t know what you believe to be the “spoiler”, especially after you posted here a LINK to the cover story already…🤔

You be surprised how many people don't like the series, Ive watched several channels were they just flat out stop reacting to the series because their not liking them. One in particular were they just didn't like Luffy, felt he was too goofy, and got his friends in trouble, wanted Zoro to be the Captain. Right now I am watching another channel that, like you, watched the Live action first, and they just finished Alabasta. They didn't particularly like Alabasta, and felt that Arlong Park was better because it was shorter. Just goes to show you how everyone is different on their feelings and thoughts on everything.

Its actually next 4 arcs. Its Long Ring Long Land arc, then Water 7 arc, then Enies Lobby arc, then Post Water 7 arc. All are part of the Water 7 Saga.

G8 is from episode 196 to 206. From the manga, when they came down to the sea from Skypiea they went to the Long Ring Long Land arc right away. But because they added a G8 filler, the connection point was a bit altered. So, it happened that some canon dialogue/conversation was contained somewhere in the last few G8 episodes as the seam to connect back to canon, just like the dragon filler in between Logue Town and Entering to Grandline (mixing some canon lore in the filler). So, in addition to a fun filler, it is not pointless to watch it as well. For a movie recommendation, I know there would be fans to recommend Movie 6. It seems that many fans liked it. But for me, I don't like it, at all. It is an unpopular opinion. For your context, many later movies were directed by Oda. Earlier movies were not and this was one of them. But this is not the reason I don't like it. It just ... the whole crew were so out of character to the point that it made me feel stomach churned. It feels like a bad-writing fan fiction (I don't dislike fan fiction though). Never did any OP filler or movie make me feel this way. Maybe it is only me. But I would not object you guys to watching because different person has different opinion. You don't know until you watch it.

With that Skypeia is essentially finished! Now onto the Water 7 Saga starting with Long Ring Long Land. It's a short comedy focused arc that is silo'd off from all other arcs. Making it very inconsequential, and feel like filler to a lot of people. I skipped it on that basis and that we are never lacking in character interactions.

Now that you’ve seen alabasta and skypeia… can you imagine trying to do them in live action? Alabasta seems pretty grounded, but to get there you have to go through dinosaurs, giants, a transforming reindeer, and then the final big bad is a sand man. The logistics are nuts. I cannot wait to see the creativity and passion the live action team will put into these seasons.

Honestly LRLI was so much fun to watch. It got annoying scenes but so funny, honestly. Really should watch it. It was such a nice break, before the crazies. I also agree watching Long Ring Long Land. It's like the sports festival at school.

Oda to me is like how some people are born as naturally gifted singers, except he's a writer. A naturally gifted writer who found his calling in life, who also happens to be a very good artist. One Piece is the only story that makes me sit back and question how someone wrote it. How did he come up with all this and execute it so well? And lets not forget, One Piece isn't a book, it's a Manga, which means he releases 1 chapter every week. He can't write a whole book and go back to the start and edit it. Once a chapter is out... It's out. That's how all Manga is, but to pull off something like this in that format is just crazy

Nobody knows how to bring joy like the straw hat pirates! Personally I only used to watch fillers when I still didn’t know how long One Piece actually is. But now I can tell you it’s not a crime to skip them. Mind you, some of them are really nice and fun, as they don’t have much drama, so they mostly focus on the crew’s interactions. My advice for you is of course not to jump straight away into the new saga (for me Water 7 is a saga as it has more than one arc in it), especially when this will be very long (but absolutely beautiful), but to take a few days of break, either by leisurely watch a short filler or by catching up with other anime reactions just for like a week.

G-8 is connected to Skypiea as it is the end bit of Skypiea. It is a way to get into a fun arc which will not disappoint, just before getting into VERY VERY emotional arcs like Water 7/Enies Lobby. Long Ring Long Land is also quite fun in my opinion, but is feels more like a “filler” than G-8. Maybe because G-8 is a seamless follow up to Skypiea… Prepare for Water 7/Enies Lobby…things are about to get serious and very dark!
